‘The woman is your average mother after too many vinos’: Hilarious ‘drunk’ Victoria Beckham dancing videos go viral as fans point out how ‘happy’ Nicola Peltz looks to be with her

Victoria Beckham‘s fans have lauded hilarious videos of the Spice Girl showing off her dance moves, flying in the face of her son’s Brooklyn’s claims she behaved ‘inappropriately’ at his wedding.

Following his bombshell statement on Monday, sources have claimed that Victoria left Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz ‘in tears’ at their 2022 wedding after she ‘nuzzled his neck’ and ‘grinded on him’ in her impromptu dance at the reception.

Brooklyn alleged Victoria danced ‘inappropriately’ which left him feeling ‘more uncomfortable and humiliated than ever in his life’ – overshadowing the most important moment of his wedding day.

But fans are casting doubt on the claims after finding social media videos of a ‘drunk’ Victoria showing off her dancing with her family.

One video showed Victoria dancing with both Brooklyn and Nicola after the premiere of the actress’ film Lola in 2024, while another featured the designer in a montage of dance clips, including a viral moment with her husband David from his Netflix series.

Comparing Posh to ‘an average mother after one too many vinos,’ many users also shared in the comments that Nicola looked ‘happy’ to be in her mother-in-law’s company, a stark contrast to the image painted by Brooklyn’s statement.

One video showed the on-screen text: ‘It just doesn’t make sense to me that VB is out here dancing inappropropes, the woman is your average mother after too many vinos.’

Another said: ‘POV you are the worst mother-in-law.’

Fans lauded Victoria’s fun dance moves, with comments saying: ‘Nicola was posting videos and pictures of their fam vacation after the wedding saying how much she loved VB and VB was doing the same. This is some BS and no one will ever make me hate Posh.

‘She doesn’t even dance ”inappropriately” with her husband in public so highly unlikely she would with her son.

‘Makes me question his whole statement saying this so sad for them all; I don’t think anyone could hate on VB she’s such a bloody vibe I love her

‘Haha boys going viral for a VB video. Love it; All I know is that if posh was my MIL I’d be honoured

‘Nothing can make me go against Victoria (even that song playing is hers); She looks fun to me.

‘We all know that our Vicky can’t dance; Literally!!! We love you VB

‘She is my spirit animal. Do your thang girl; Go on Victoria!! May you never stop dancing.’

Overnight, it was reported that Nicola ran out of her own wedding reception in floods of tears as she watched her mother-in-law Lady Victoria ‘grind’ and ‘nuzzle’ Brooklyn after hijacking their first dance.

Brooklyn made a series of bombshell allegations about his 2022 Florida wedding, including claims his mother, 51, dramatically intervened in what was meant to be his romantic first dance with Nicola.

An insider told The Sun: ‘Brooklyn was so embarrassed and his wife so humiliated and furious to have been upstaged.

‘She made her feelings very, very clear on the day. It soured the whole evening.’

The insider added of Victoria: ‘There was absolutely no malice there; quite the opposite.’

Meanwhile a different source said David and Victoria are ‘baffled’ by the accusations as on the day, guests were ‘having so much fun’ and were ‘lapping it up’, with no concerns about the mother and son dance raised at the time.

They said Victoria was just a ‘tad tipsy and having fun’ while ‘Nicola didn’t want him to dance with his mum at all – so kicked off about it’.

Page Six reported the actress was so upset she left the reception crying after Victoria ‘wrapped her arms around Brooklyn and nuzzled into his neck’.

A source said: ‘She [Victoria] was dancing with him very inappropriately. She took that moment from Nicola, that is the god’s truth.

‘Nicola ran out crying. The Beckhams’ side of the room was cheering and the Peltz side was quiet.

‘Nicola’s friends were saying ‘You have to go back down.’ Her face was swollen. She finally came down and was sad the entire evening, it was so heartbreaking.’

Another source claimed Brooklyn spent the weekend ‘agonising’ over what to say in the six-page statement, after telling his wife ‘f*** it, this ends now’.

Brooklyn has been isolated from his family, including parents David and Victoria, brothers Romeo and Cruz, and sister Harper, for years, with the feud reaching fever pitch this week

The insider told The Mirror: ‘He thought the abuse towards his wife would never stop until he said something in his own words. He was sick of the lies, and there was no changing his mind….and nor did anyone want to. He was fixated on ending the b******t which he claims his mum and dad are behind.’

Daily Mail has contacted the Beckhams’, Brooklyn’s and Nicola’s representatives for comment.

Fans are clamouring to see the footage at the centre of the Beckham family rift.

But sources say the video will likely never surface because Brooklyn himself holds the only recording of the controversial moment.

The couple famously enforced an ultra-strict no-phones policy at their lavish Florida nuptials, attended by 500 guests.

All attendees were required to surrender their personal devices upon arrival, sealing them inside electronically locked pouches before being handed retro flip phones for basic photographs.

As a result, Brooklyn and Nicola retain exclusive control over all official footage from the day, meaning the alleged ’embarrassing’ dance exists only in material owned by the couple themselves.

A source revealed: ‘Brooklyn holds all the power when it comes to the video of Victoria dancing ‘inappropriately’ on him at his wedding to Nicola.

‘You can completely understand why Brooklyn would never have wanted the footage made public. Until now, he has stayed silent, but he is finally speaking out about his experiences with his family and, in particular, how deeply let down he felt by his mother on his wedding day.

‘Thousands of people are now speculating about just how inappropriate Victoria’s performance really was, and releasing the footage could be the ultimate proof that everything Brooklyn has alleged is completely accurate.

‘The only person who can lawfully release that footage is Brooklyn himself. And while he’s clearly been pushed to breaking point, he may still feel it’s not something he wants to relive, especially on such a hugely public scale.’

As a result of Brooklyn’s claims, thousands of memes and hilarious videos imagining Victoria’s ‘inappropriate’ dancing have gone viral online. Sources told The Sun that she is ‘devastated’ at being turned into a laughing stock.

And on Monday, reacting to a fan video about Brooklyn’s statement, Stavros Agapiou, the husband of celebrity DJ Fat Tony and a guest at the wedding, claimed the chef’s account of events was completely accurate.

In a now-deleted Instagram comment, he wrote: ‘I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth.’

Glamorous images of the couple’s lavish nuptials were captured by celebrity fashion and wedding photographer German Larkin, later forming the centrepiece of their glossy Vogue cover shoot.

But it is within the couple’s own account of their big day that cracks in Brooklyn’s version of events have begun to appear.

Vogue reported that the newlyweds’ first dance was to South African singer Lloyiso’s rendition of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love.

The publication then states that Marc Anthony took to the stage much later in the reception to perform his hit I Need To Know.

It was at this point, Vogue adds, that Brooklyn invited his mother onto the stage for a dance, where she was joined by David and their 10-year-old daughter Harper.

That detail appears to directly contradict Brooklyn’s explosive claim that Marc Anthony called him to the stage, and that what was meant to be a romantic dance with his wife was instead interrupted by his mother, who was allegedly ‘waiting in the wings’ to dance with him.

Brooklyn wrote in his statement that his mother ‘hijacked’ his first dance, insisting the moment had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song – a version of events that now sits at odds with the couple’s own published account.

Brooklyn insisted in his statement that the reason he and Nicola chose to renew their vows just three years after their original ceremony was because Victoria had ruined their wedding day, a renewal the Beckhams notably did not attend.

He said: ‘We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.’

The Beckham family feud has been simmering for years, both behind closed doors and in public, with each side desperately battling to protect their version of events and their reputations.

Brooklyn insisted in his statement that the reason he and Nicola chose to renew their vows just three years after their original ceremony was because Victoria had ruined their wedding day

In his lengthy Instagram post, Brooklyn claimed his family had ‘controlled narratives’ and perpetuated ‘countless lies’ to ‘preserve their own façade’ – with ‘Brand Beckham’ always the priority.

But the chef said tensions reached breaking point when Victoria, who first rose to fame as Posh Spice and now owns a hugely successful fashion and beauty empire, ‘cancelled’ Nicola’s wedding dress at the eleventh hour, despite how excited his wife had been to wear her design.

However, some fans have already questioned the accuracy of Brooklyn’s claims surrounding the dress, pointing to the fact that Nicola wore an elaborate Valentino Haute Couture gown that reportedly took years to design.

In a Vogue article published days after the couple’s April 2022 wedding, Nicola’s stylist Leslie Fremar revealed the dress required ‘years’ worth of conversations with Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s team.

Fremar also said the bride made two trips to Rome and attended fittings in the US to ensure every detail was ‘immaculate’ on the big day.

On Tuesday, Sir David broke his silence following his son’s bombshell claims.

Speaking live on CNBC’s financial program Squawk Box, Sir David said: ‘I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media… for the good and the bad.

‘What kids can access these days, it can be dangerous.

‘But what I have found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.

‘I’ve been able to use my platform for my following, for UNICEF. And it has been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children.

‘And I have tried to do the same with my children, to educate them.’

He added: ‘They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.’

Brooklyn Beckham’s statement in full

I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.

Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.

My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.

Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.

They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.

During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me “evil” because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table, because they both didn’t have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.

The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was “not blood” and “not family.” Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders.

Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last Summer.

My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.

She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.

My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.

Despite this, we still travelled to London for my dad’s birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him. He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner.

When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.

My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first. Family “love” is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.

We’ve gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show ‘our perfect family.’ But the one time my wife asked for my mum’s support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.

The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.

I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.
