A 2022 TikTok of Brooklyn Beckham declaring ‘follow your passions’ whilst driving around in a £1million supercar has gone viral after the chef blew up his family feud in spectacular fashion this week.
The video has been recirculating with one viral post insisting ‘I knew he was an ungrateful brat when he tried to cosplay as a self-made chef’.
Four years ago a then 23-year-old Brooklyn was accosted by social media star Daniel Mac while driving around Los Angeles in his red McLaren P1 sports car.
Mac teased Brooklyn about his fledgling career as a chef after being asked what exactly he did for a living, which allowed him to afford his £1m ($1.2m) McLaren supercar.
‘Hey man, what do you do for a living? Your car’s awesome,’ the TikToker asked Brooklyn after spotting him behind the wheel. ‘Um, I’m a chef,’ he replied.
‘Are you like the best chef in the world?’ Daniel teased. ‘Trying to be,’ Brooklyn responded.

When Daniel asked if Brooklyn has any tips for those who want to get into cooking, the budding chef simply said: ‘Just follow your passion. Whatever makes you happy, just keep doing it.’
Fans rushed to comment as the video was reshared this week, with one joking ‘Nothing says ‘humble chef’ like arriving in a McLaren’ whilst another quipped: ‘what do you do for a living? my dad is David Beckham’.
Brooklyn announced on Monday that he has cut all ties with his parents and does’not want to reconcile with my family,’ adding ‘I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.’
Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz have been at the heart of the acrimonious divide that has resulted in them snubbing all significant family celebrations over recent months, including his father Sir David’s milestone 50th birthday and knighthood.
David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son claimed in his statement that he has been ‘controlled by a family that values public promotion above all else’ and that since being with Nicola, he has found ‘peace and relief’ after battling crippling anxiety.
Brooklyn concluded: ‘My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first.
‘Family “love” is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo op even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.
‘The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.

‘I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief.
‘My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.’
The Daily Mail has contacted the Beckhams for comment.
Victoria has been left ‘devastated’ after taking the brunt in the vicious family fallout – which has all been sparked by a trademark battle over their family name.
Despite proudly declaring he was a once a ‘mama’s boy’, Brooklyn focused mainly on Lady Beckham in his lengthy statement, with his vitriolic comments leaving her ‘on the floor in pieces’.
In his statement, Brooklyn made the shocking allegations that Lady Beckham danced on him ‘inappropriately’ at his wedding to Nicola, leaving him ‘humiliated’, while he also accused his mother of ‘hijacking’ their first dance, and pulling out of designing Nicola’s dress ‘at the eleventh hour’.

While recollections seem to vary on what exactly happened on his wedding day, Brooklyn also made a point of claiming that his parents ‘attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children’.
Now, Daily Mail can reveal that it’s Victoria, 51, who solely owns the trademark to Brooklyn Beckham’s name – which is set to expire this year.
Documents lodged with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office show that in December 2016, Victoria took out the trademark in her son’s name, but when that expires in December of this year Brooklyn will be free to renew using his own legal team.
The trademark covers classes of goods including cosmetics and aftershaves, clothes, shoes, sportswear, hats, toys, TV shows and music.
Posh also took out trademarks in the names of her three other children.
In his statement, Brooklyn claimed: ‘They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because when the terms of the deal would be initiated.
‘My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.’
A source added to Page Six: ‘Before Brooklyn and Nicola were married, Victoria called Brooklyn and said, “Daddy has a very big deal, you need to sign this contract”.’
An industry insider, however, said the deal with Authentic Brands Group was tied to David selling a majority stake in his brand management company, DB Ventures, for $269 million in 2022, and meant nothing negative for Brooklyn.
‘The agreement that Brooklyn was asked to sign was to protect his rights because his parents have commercial partners who have some rights over the Beckham name, and so it ensures that the kids are carved out of that, of course,’ said a Beckham insider at the time.
‘It’s entirely standard and is to protect the family. Brooklyn chose not to sign the agreement, but it makes no difference, as of course no one would ever restrict his rights.
‘Sadly, by then, Brooklyn had gotten rid of all his own advisers and was only listening to the Peltz lawyers who perhaps either didn’t understand the agreement or were being deliberately obstructive.’
PR agent and Brand expert Mark Borkowski told the Daily Mail that Brooklyn’s blistering attack will undoubtedly have had an effect on ‘Brand Beckham’, which was built on “unity, warmth and professionalism”.’
Mark explained: ‘This will be an existential crisis for the Beckhams. Even before with all the reports of the feud they made sure they were promoting the family by posting about Cruz’s music gig.

‘The problem is the Peltz’s are significant and ruthless businesspeople and they’ll be pretty good at exploiting Brooklyn if he wants to do something.
‘Now they can take an element of his brand and build on it – the same way Prince Harry did using his Windsor label with Meghan Markle.
‘Brooklyn is now in bed with one of the most powerful businessman in New York and America is a much bigger market for him.
‘As for the Peltz family, well they wouldn’t want a rogue Beckham brand flying around that they didn’t have control of.
‘They’re a successful family and they’d be looking at their son-in-law thinking “how can we create something with the Peltz brand”.
‘It’s a horrible family soap opera for the Beckhams and how they recover from this will be an ongoing conversation for sure.’
