Day in the life of Premier League owner’s daughter from marrying club worker to private boxes and best grounds for food

BURNLEY owner Alan Pace’s daughter Ashlyn has given fans a glimpse into what life is like behind the scenes at a Premier League club.

The American has relocated to Lancashire and works for her father’s club as a social media executive.

Ashlyn Pace-Ferguson’s role sees her travel up and down the country to support the Clarets.

She has gathered a sizeable social media following in recent years, and likes to give an insight into her role.

In her latest post, Ashlyn answered some frequently asked questions from fans.

Quizzed which team serves up the best grub, Ashlyn said: “The away ground with the best food has got to be Tottenham Hotspur, but non-Premier League, it’s Blackpool.”

She then addressed whether she could join fans in the away end, rather than watching from the posh seats.

Ashlyn added: “I would absolutely love to and I think I could join in with pretty much all of the chants.”

The video featured clips taken from the Anfield directors’ box at Burnley’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Saturday.

Asked if she’s ever mocked by opposition fans, she added: “Definitely but it depends on the stadium.”

After confirming that she had no problems at Liverpool last weekend, Ashlyn continued: “I can handle a little mocking but when they physically grab people it gets a little scary.”

Her final question addressed whether she fully celebrates goals while at an opposition stadium.

Ashlyn admitted that she still applauds, but doesn’t stand up and cheer like she would at Turf Moor.

While working at Burnley, Ashlyn met husband Joe Ferguson.

Joe works as a commercial partnerships operator and was introduced to Ashlyn by her father.

Recounting how they met, then-22-year-old Ashlyn told Lancs Live in 2023: “When my dad first sent me a picture of Joe, I was kind of like, what the heck? Why are you sending me a picture of this random guy that you work with?”

She then added: “Joe has a way that when you meet him, he’s just so charismatic and his personality shines through and someone that people instantly remember.

“So I think in that sense, my dad just knows me very well and meeting Joe and saying that Ashlyn would get along well with him, that was kind of where my dad really hit the nail on the head.”

The couple are both mormons and featured together featured in a BBC documentary about their faith.

Having each previously worked as missionaries overseas, the pair have since settled near Burnley.

Ashlyn and Joe wed in August 2022, before welcoming their first child, Winston, in March last year.

The American couldn’t be happier to have relocated to the north of England.

She added: “Obviously I heard from my dad that it’s [the north] beautiful and he loves it there and so I was like, who do I believe?

“Then, once I actually got here, the scenery is just so incredible and the rolling hills and the sheep and really, genuinely the people were so welcoming.

“Way more than I ever experienced in London.”
