HOLLYOAKS is bringing back ANOTHER McQueen for James Sutton’s exit storyline – 16 years after the actress was sacked by bosses.
The Channel 4 soap has a string of returns coming as part of John Paul McQueen actor James’ exit and now The Sun can reveal the latest one.
Actress Hollie Jay Bowes has filmed scenes as Michaela McQueen once more 16 years after she was sensationally sacked from the soap.
The star made her debut on the soap in 2006 the first of the McQueen family.
But just four years later her behaviour caused her to be axed from the show.
She was sacked in 2010 after talking about future storylines on social media and claiming she had quit the show.
Bosses moved fast and wrote her out instead in a humiliating turn of events.
A year later she returned to the soap but lasted just a year before being written out again.
She will reprise her role as mouthy Michaela as part of on-screen brother James Sutton’s exit storyline.
A source said: “It’s all water under the bridge now and Michaela’s return to the village will be a treat for fans.
“James’ exit as John Paul deserves something special and bosses know that bringing back some more of the iconic soap family was the perfect way to say goodbye to him.”
Actors Gemma Merna and Leah Beckett are also reprising their roles as the dead Carmel and Tina McQueen in the special storyline that will ponder what John Paul’s life would’ve been like if his sisters hadn’t died.
Since 2013 Hollie has appeared in Waterloo Road.
