Nicola Peltz’s nuclear fallouts: Everyone who has turned on Brooklyn’s wife – from best pal Selena Gomez to her former stylist as eldest Beckham son claims parents told him she’s ‘not family’

The Beckham-Peltz family feud finally came to a head on Monday evening as Brooklyn took to Instagram to launch an extraordinary attack on his famous family, accusing his parents David and Victoria of ‘controlling’ him in a bombshell statement.

The eldest son of David and Victoria, 26, shared a six-page statement, claiming his parents have made no attempt to hide their dislike for Nicola and accusing Victoria and David of making comments the night before the wedding that Nicola was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family’.

It has always been rumoured that tensions with Brooklyn’s wife began over the wedding dress and the aspiring chef also claimed that Victoria ‘cancelled’ plans to make Nicola’s gown at the last minute, ‘forcing her to urgently find a new dress’. 

Yet Nicola’s tense relationship with her in-laws isn’t the only bridge the star appears to have burned having suffered a number of other fallouts with close friends including Selena Gomez and even her hair stylist. 

She was branded a ‘monster’ and ‘the worst of the worst’ by her ex celebrity hair colourist Justin Anderson in 2019 after an alleged altercation between the pair over a decade ago in which she claimed he ‘burnt her hair off’.

Selena, Nicola and Brooklyn famously formed an incredibly close bond with the singer cementing their closeness when she joked they were in ‘throuple’ back in 2023. 

The singer’s social media account was once filled with photos and videos showcasing her close relationship with the couple, from girls’ night sleepovers, to luxury vacations and gushing birthday tributes.

However fast forward to 2025 and Brooklyn and Nicola were nowhere to be seen at Selena’s nuptials to Benny Blanco in September.

Her last post featuring Nicola was shared in a photo dump that December, while Nicola’s most recent post with Selena was taken at Benny’s birthday party in March 2024.

What’s more, Nicola and Brooklyn have gone from liking nearly every one of Selena’s Instagram posts to becoming silent followers of the Rare Beauty founder – even as they each marked major milestones in their lives.

Selena also failed to show some love to the couple online in April, when they marked their third wedding anniversary and she hasn’t liked or commented on Nicola’s most recent tributes to her late grandmother. 

A report in The Sun last summer suggested the Selena and Benny had grown tired of ‘diva’ Nicola, with this seemingly ringing true when the former Disney star was not in attendance at Nicola and Brooklyn’s vow renewal in August.

However, at the time an insider told the Daily Mail: ‘Selena and Benny have not had any falling out with Nicola or Brooklyn.’

‘They are still friends. When it comes to their vow renewal, [Selena] can celebrate them privately. She feels she doesn’t have to legitimize her friendships with anyone through an online post or comment.’

Even so it is a sharp turnaround from their previous public displays of affection. 

Elsewhere, Nicola has also come to blows with her stylist Justin Anderson who went on a shock rant about her on a podcast with Jackie Schimmel in 2019, branding the actress a ‘diva’ and vowing he would ‘never work with her again’.

The hairdresser, who has worked with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Kelly Osbourne, Jennifer Aniston and Katy Perry, was Nicola’s colourist when she was on the 2014 press tour for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age Of Extinction, in which she starred aged 18 as Mark Wahlberg’s on-screen daughter Tessa Yeager.

But there is some mystery surrounding what really happened between the duo, as sources close to Nicola allege Justin ‘burnt her hair off’ during the process of bleaching it for the Transformers press tour.

It appears Justin’s remarks towards Nicola stem from the colouring mishap, which he was allegedly fired for, after he allegedly caused her hair to ‘fall out in the sink’.

Photos of Nicola from the press tour show her hair styled into blonde wavy tresses, but it is unclear what damage repair she may have had.

The Daily Mail contacted Nicola and Justin’s representatives for comment at the time. 

Five years after he was ‘fired’ – and three years before Nicola married Brooklyn – Justin had plenty of things to say about his interactions with the actress.

Speaking on the podcast about the celebrities he has worked with he said: ‘I’ve lucked out that I have had amazing people to work with but the ones that were ever bad were the ones that ended up not going anywhere, so I can talk about them.

‘I remember this one time the worst of the worst of the worst, there was this one little diva girl, f*** yeh, I’m just going to get in trouble. 

‘But she was the new Transformer girl, her name was Nicola Peltz, turns out she’s from a really wealthy family and it was like she was supposed to be the new IT girl but she has disappeared now. She is actually a monster.’

Fans have also claimed Nicola caused tensions in the Hadid household after Anwar stopped talking to his family while he was dating the star. 

The pair dated from 2017 until 2018, when she was 22 and he was 17, and while there were no official reports, there were rumours at the time that Anwar grew distant from his family. 

A viral Tweet claimed: ‘Brooklyn Beckham’s wife previously dated Anwar Hadid, and he also stopped talking to his parents. Yolanda [Anwar’s mother] said, “Not on my watch.”‘ 

Yolanda is also said to have reached out to David and Victoria amid the feud, causing fans to raise eyebrows and come up with their own theories after she suffered her own ‘strained’ relationship with the Bates Motel star during her romance with Anwar.

The bond got off to a strong start, with Nicola joining Anwar’s famous sisters on the red carpet and posing for sweet selfies with Yolanda on Instagram.

It initially seemed Yolanda approved of Nicola, as they posed with blue towels wrapped around their heads and hung out on a ‘rainy east coast summer day’.

However, according to the Daily Mail, relations seemingly declined over time and they were left with ‘no good feeling’ between them as Nicola proceeded to unfollow the whole family on social media.

The star even fell out with her wedding planner after Nicola’s father Nelson filed a lawsuit against two of the couple’s wedding planners, Plan Design’s Nicole Eichenwald Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, who were hired six weeks before the wedding and let go nine days later.

He claimed he did not get his $159,000 (£132,000) deposit back, and according to his filing, he alleged: ‘During their nine days of negotiations… (they) failed to book a single new wedding vendor, failed to finalise the terms of any agreements with any of the vendors that had previously been selected by Peltz and his family and failed to attend previously scheduled meetings with Peltz.

‘The celebrity of the wedding couple combined with the anticipated attendance of many high-profile guests required that the wedding planner have the expertise and staffing to plan, coordinate and execute a wedding event of the expected caliber and complexity.

‘The guest list included more than five hundred people, including numerous celebrities, athletes, dignitaries and other influential individuals, who travelled from all around the globe to attend.’

However, the wedding planners hit back, with their lawyer telling The Mail On Sunday at the time: ‘My clients have impeccable reputations within the event-planning industry and among their high-end clientele worldwide. They operate their business with the utmost integrity and discretion.

‘The lawsuit that was filed by Nelson Peltz is frivolous and unimpressive. Relevant and complete emails and text messages that address the misleading statements contained in the complaint will be revealed in discovery as part of my clients’ response to the complaint, including in support of the counterclaim they intend to file.’

In September 2023 the lawsuits were settled after both parties reached an agreement following months of back and forth. 

They said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE: ‘The parties believe that this contract dispute between Nelson Peltz and Plan Design should be resolved on the terms agreed.

‘As part of the settlement, PDE will make a donation in the name of Nicola and Brooklyn to the CARE Ukraine Crisis Fund.

‘PDE wishes Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham happiness and a fruitful life together.’

Nicola also fell out with her dog groomer after she claimed back in 2024 that her  ‘healthy, happy dog’ Nala returned from a session at the mobile dog groomers in ‘severe physical distress’ and died hours later.

Veterinary records revealed the eight-year-old dog suffered from fluid in her lungs, neurological issues and a dangerously rapid heart rate before her untimely death.

Peltz was left in distress over the incident and claims Nala’s death was due to ‘intentional and malicious abuse’.

The star filed her original lawsuit against HoundSpa, its owner Deborah Gittleman and dog groomer Jonny Ceballos. 

Then, in November, she accused the groomers of  potentially harming ‘several’ other pets – as she demanded the business hand over its client records.

In court documents filed and obtained by the Daily Mail, the actress sought to uncover whether her pooch Nala’s death is part of a wider pattern of abuse by Westchester-based HoundSpa, which she claimed was refusing to provide its customer list.

Houndspa and the owners have denied all allegations of wrongdoing, the groomer Ceballos has also denied he played a role in the dog’s death. 

Lawyers for Peltz say both parties are now at an ‘impasse’ after the company has failed to comply with her initial request and their meeting to resolve the matter outside of court in October.

The similarities between Beckxit and Megxit are glaringly obvious so it was no surprise when it was reported that Nicola and Meghan Markle had bonded over being branded ‘homewrecker’ women who ‘tear apart their husbands’ families’.

Meghan and Nicola are said to have had a ‘deep and meaningful’ chat and bonded over criticism of them.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also had the couple over for dinner at their mansion in Montecito, California. 

Brooklyn and Nicola, who live 90 minutes away in LA, were said to have received ‘unwavering support’ from Harry and Meghan who reportedly feel ’empathetic’ towards them amid their family feud. 

However prior to this the two clans appeared to be on less friendly terms. 

Back in May it was reported that Nicola declared: ‘Who’s Meghan?’ when asked if she was inviting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to her $3million wedding to Brooklyn.

Nicola’s perplexed response was revealed in a lawsuit brought by her billionaire father two years ago when he sued wedding organisers after deciding the lavish Miami event for 500 VIP guests was a ‘s**tshow’.

In a text to her mother about her and Brooklyn’s wedding guest list Claudia Heffner Peltz had asked her: ‘Did Meghan get an invite?’ to which her daughter replied: ‘Who’s Meghan?’

As well as Nicola forgetting who Meghan was, Brooklyn was on US TV and was asked about the virtues of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Instead he chose to praise Prince William – calling him the ‘sweetest guy’ – and failed to mention the Sussexes at all.

And in 2023 Prince Harry walked straight past Brooklyn and Nicola at a LAFC match at a time when it was claimed there was a feud between the Sussexes and the Beckhams in a row over allegations of leaking stories to the press.

Yet more recently it emerged Brooklyn and his wife Nicola are enjoying the ‘secret support’ of the Sussexes because of their ‘similar family feuds’, sources claimed. 

Brooklyn and Nicola have been at the heart of the acrimonious divide that has resulted in them snubbing all significant family celebrations over recent months, including his father David’s milestone 50th birthday and knighthood.

In his explosive statement, Brooklyn went as far as to say he has been ‘controlled by a family that values public promotion above all else’ and that since being with his wife Nicola, he has found ‘peace and relief’ after battling crippling anxiety.

Brooklyn also claimed Victoria, who has her own fashion brand, cancelled making Nicola’s wedding dress at the ‘eleventh hour’ and hijacked their first dance which left him so ’embarrassed’ they decided to renew their vows without his family last year.
