PEST control were seen outside shamed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s exile pad yesterday as renovation work continued.
The vermin hunters were seen driving out from a road that ramshackled Marsh Farm backs onto.
It is unclear exactly what Command Pest Control were doing, but they usually deal with removing unwanted rats, mice, squirrels and wasp nests.
Its website says: “January is a bad time for rats, especially when it is cold and frosty, their numbers reduce dramatically in prolonged spells of cold.
“Therefore they tend to try to enter buildings looking for warmth and can be seen close to properties, sometimes heard in roof voids and cavity walls.”
The company has a Royal Warrant.
It comes as work continued on the ramshackled five-bed home which Andrew will be moving into after handing back the lease to Royal Lodge.
Last week workmen began building a six ft fence around the perimeter, installed security features and even added Sky TV.
Removal vans were meanwhile last week seen leaving Royal Lodge last week and went to a secure lock-up in South London, sparking rumours Andrew’s move out is imminent.
He has been offered temporary accommodation in Sandringham while he waits for Marsh Farm renovations to be complete, which may not be until Easter.
