Amanda Holden becomes latest star vying for Celebrity Traitors spot after pal Alan Carr won… if packed schedule allows

BRITAIN’S Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is being lined up for The Celebrity Traitors after good pal Alan Carr won last year’s show.

She encouraged the comedian to sign up for the BBC’s smash hit reality show and now has her own eyes on the prize.

But busy Amanda, 54, has to work out a way to fit in almost a month’s filming at Ardross Castle in May if she is to follow Alan, her co-host on Beeb renovation shows Italian Job, Spanish Job and Greek Job.

A TV insider said: “Filming for The Celebrity traitors takes place in the Scottish Highlands at the same time that BGT semi-finals are filmed live in London on a Saturday night.

“It’s not impossible for her to be given some time off but it isn’t the only work she’d have to juggle. There’s her Heart Breakfast radio show as well as potentially more series of her show with Alan and her Beeb quiz show The Inner Circle.

“But it’s something she’d really love to do if she can make it all work.”

Amanda threw her hat in the ring even before the celebrity spin-off was confirmed by the BBC.

She said on her radio show at the time: “I can’t wait for a celebrity version — I’m just putting my hand up for it now.

“I’d love to do it, but I’d have to be a Faithful. I think everyone would think I’d be a Traitor but I don’t think I could be too duplicitous.”

She was also a huge supporter of her mate Alan on The Celebrity Traitors last autumn and showed unity by dressing as him for Halloween.

The picture she shared of herself online in a cloak carrying a lantern and wearing a pair of spectacles earned a string of heart emojis from The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman.

Among celebs already in talks to appear on the contest, expected to air this autumn, are Gavin & Stacey’s Ruth Jones, This Morning’s Alison Hammond and former EastEnders actor Danny Dyer.
