MARRIED At First Sight Australia’s new line-up has been revealed and it includes a stunning model, a hunky farmer and the “wildest bride in the show’s history”.
The new series is set kick off Down Under next month, and it’s already being hailed as the “greatest season ever” – and it hasn’t even started yet.
Fans went crazy when the first trailer for Married At First Sight Australia was dropped earlier this month.
Now the FULL line-up of brides and grooms who will be taking the plunge has been released.
Here we take you through all of cast members who are getting ready to say “I do” to a total stranger.
Rebecca ‘Bec’ Zacharia, account manager, 35
Hailing from South Australia, Bec was born to a Greek father and English mother.
She describes herself as “loud, outspoken, a social butterfly”, she also admits she is “never shy of being the centre of attention”.
Bec was due to get married before but broke off the engagement four months before the wedding.
She is looking for a “tall man with tattoos and a beard” who makes her “laugh”.
Luke Fourniotis, farmer, 30
MAFS groom Luke is hoping to find a wife to live the country life with him.
The Victoria farmer ditched city life to take over his late dad’s cattle farm.
The hunk has only had one serious relationship, which ended shortly after his father died.
Luke is hoping for an “optimistic, energetic, and bubbly bride” will walk down the aisle.
Alissa Fay, nurse/social media manager, 33
South Australia nurse Alissa describes herself as “loyal” and “confident”.
She is looking for her new romance after her six year relationship recently ended.
Alissa says she “doesn’t believe in the perfect man” but is ready to commit to someone who shares her “ambition” and also “communicates with honesty”.
Scott McCristal, business owner, 33
“Workaholic” Scott says he is used to “living life in the fast lane.”
This Queensland-native runs multiple businesses and has every second of his day is planned out, “leaving little room for a relationship.”
Driven Scott is looking for a woman who can “support” him while he is “works towards success”.
Stella, eyebrow technician, 32
Stella moved to Australia nine years ago from Lithuania and now resides in New South Wales.
This traditional bride believes a “partner should be the protector and provider for a family”, allowing the “woman to be a good mother”.
Stella says she can come across “quite harsh”, but she is actually quite “sensitive”.
Grayson McIvor, recruitment agency owner, 34
Queensland man Grayson says he is a “deep thinker” who has spent many years in “self-reflection”.
The businessman is now looking for a woman to share his big dreams with.
Grayson says his ideal bride would be a “natural woman who is confident in her own skin, with a warm, adventurous, optimistic personality”.
Gia Fleur, disability support worker, 35
Gia is being dubbed as “the wildest bride in MAFS history“, and this is before the show has even aired.
The tattooed babe has been married before, so she is hoping second time is a charm.
Hailing from Victoria, Gia is also a mum and isn’t interested in “flashy men”.
Instead she is hoping for “real commitment” from her groom.
Rachel Gilmore, team leader, 35
Rachel is described as a “warm, vibrant and bubbly woman with maternal energy and a heart of gold”.
The team leader from Victoria hasn’t been in a relationship for 14 years, and has instead found herself in “situationships” .
Rachel wants her groom to be “a protective and communicative man who is willing to put in the work”.
Chris Nield, construction supervisor, 31
Meet construction boss Chris from Victoria.
He calls himself a “boys boy” and says he doesn’t have “any trust in the MAFS experiment”.
Chris wants his bride to be “petite, brunette, naturally tanned, fit, and can’t be too needy”.
Julia Vogl, confidence coach, 35
“Sensitive soul” Julia is described as a “spiritual dreamer who stands out from the crowd”.
As a bisexual, she is open to dating both men and women as long as they have “something special” about them.
Julia has had four serious relationships, three with women and one with a man, and is now hoping to find her perfect match through the MAFS experiment.
Rebecca Zukowski, leasing manager, 51
At 51, Rebecca is the oldest of the brides on this year’s MAFS.
Hailing from Victoria, the listings manager was previously married before and is now hoping to find love again.
Mum-of-one Rebecca wants a man who is her “equal” to her, and who loves the “finer things in life” like she does.
Brook Compton, model, 27
Introducing stunning model Brook from Queensland.
She says she is “putting all her faith” in the MAFS experiment to find her perfect match.
Describing her ideal groom she says she “wants a man who is mature, trustworthy, and loyal”.
Danny Hewitt, real estate agent,
British born Danny moved to Australia in his 20s, and soon made Down Under his home.
Now living in Victoria, this real estate agent says “underneath the swagger and cheek” he is “as soft as a cuddly teddy bear”.
Danny is looking for a “strong woman” to be his “ride or die” partner in life.
Mel Akbay, communications specialist, 28
Mel is one of the youngest of this year’s MAFS brides.
After watching all her friends start families and get married, she now wants it to be her turn.
Mel says she now wants her “own fairytale” story with the “perfect husband and the perfect life”.
Steve Powell, creative director, 50,
Silver fox Steve is the oldest of the grooms this year.
The dad-of-four has forged a career flipping pubs and hospitality venues.
The Victoria native has been married before and is now looking to “start a new chapter” in his life.
Steven Danyluk, marine technician, 34
Steven hails from New South Wales and is the self-proclaimed “joker” of the cast.
The groom hasn’t had the best dating life so has turned to MAFS for help.
Steven wants his bride to be “ambitious and easygoing”, and who also “won’t get offended” by his jokes.
Filip Gregov, carpenter, 37
Croatia-born Filip is looking for a “traditional relationship” where the man provides and the woman looks after the family.
The bride who is chosen to wed this carpenter will be introduced to his strict morning routine which sees him home from the gym by 6am.
Filip migrated to Australia when he was two with his family, and he now lives in Victoria.
David Momoh, brand strategist, 31
Self-proclaimed “hustler” David has never been in a relationship longer than a year.
Despite this, the Nigerian-born groom is hoping to break that cycle and meet the wife of his dreams.
Hailing from Queensland, David is looking for a “blonde, feminine woman” and he hopes his bride “aligns” with his “values”.
THE RETURN OF MAFS OZ
MAFS Australia first premiered back in May, 2015, four months before the first UK series aired on E4.
Dating expert Mel Schilling, who appears on the British version also, heads up the professionals and is joined by John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla.
The new Australian series is expected to air on E4 a month after its transmission Down Under according to previous timelines but Channel 4 are yet to confirm an exact date.
It was reported in October last year that production had been thrown into chaos after a runaway bride derailed filming.
