XABI ALONSO has reportedly been approached for a return to management, less than a week after he was sacked by Real Madrid.
Alonso was dismissed by Madrid after 34 games and just six months in charge at the Bernabeu.

Now, according to BILD, the 44-year-old is already in talks to return to management with Eintracht Frankfurt.
It’s claimed that Frankfurt chiefs have made contact with Alonso over the possibility of taking over at the club.
It comes after Frankfurt dismissed Dino Toppmoller as boss today following a string of poor results that leave them seventh in the Bundesliga table.
Eintracht CEO, Markus Krosche, is said to be keen on meeting with Alonso, who is currently on holiday after losing his job in Madrid.
Alonso is still highly regarded in Germany after his time in charge of Bayer Leverkusen.
During his first season with Leverkusen, Alonso guided the club to an Invincible double-winning domestic season and reached the Europa League final, only to succumb to Atalanta at the last hurdle.
Alonso has also been linked with a host of other jobs, including Tottenham and Manchester United.
Real Madrid also remain on the hunt for Alonso’s permanent replacement, after interim boss Alvaro Arbeloa got off to a turgid start in the dugout.

Arbeloa’s side were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by second tier side Albacete in an embarrassing 3-2 defeat.
However, the retired full-back did manage to coach Madrid to a 2-0 victory over Levante in LaLiga this weekend.
