WITH groceries now pricier than ever, many Brits are looking for ways to save on their food shop.
One mum shared a handy recipe she swears by for feeding her family of four on less than a fiver.

Jenine Kepley (@jeninehepworth) showed her TikTok followers how she manages the feat, taking them along as she purchased her ingredients from Lidl.
In the viral video, which amassed almost two million views, the savvy mum shared her ingredient list.
She purchased chorizo for £1.89, a tin of chopped tomatoes for 49p, a loose pepper for 67p, a bag of long grain rice for 52p, red onions for 95p, and loose garlic for 37p.
This brought her entire meal cost to just £4.93.

When she returned home, Jenine demonstrated how to make the quick and easy recipe using just one pot.
She began by cutting her chorizo, advising her audience not to cut the pieces too thick.
“If you keep them nice and thin and then cut them in half, you’ve got a lot more to distribute throughout the meal,” she explained.
She then placed her chorizo pieces in her wok, using their natural oil to lightly fry them until they started to crisp.
Next, she added chopped pepper and onion and cooked that for a few minutes.
She followed this with four cloves of crushed garlic, which she let cook for another few minutes before adding “whatever seasoning is on hand”.
For Jenine this consisted of spicy paprika, chili flakes, and salt and pepper.
She followed this with her tin of chopped tomatoes before pouring in 750ml of water.
Jenine advised her followers to add stock cubes to the water if they had any on hand.
She then added 320g of rice to the pot and gave all the ingredients “a good mix together”.
“I’m going to reduce the heat and leave that for 15 minutes or so, stirring every now and then with the lid on top, or until the rice is tender,” she told her followers.
After dishing up the budget-friendly dinner, Jenine tried it for her followers, telling them it tastes “really good”.
