“The spine the back the lower back the knee the ankle everything hurts.

“So I’m going to go and he’s gonna check all my spine and make sure it’s good and then I’ll go home and have another day of rest forced to rest. Can you believe it?”

Shirley urged her fans to be careful and take time out for themselves

Shirley continued: “Just trying to get everything sorted and grateful for the nurses the doctors and my friends who helped me with everything, so feeling in my head much better today and grateful and I need to rest.

“All those things that perhaps one doesn’t do because we’re always running around and never sit on a stool with a cushion.

“So I’m gonna send a little demonstration of what exactly happened. We need to be careful.

“There was a little cushion on there and I slipped off it. Anyway, take care. Love you.”

After the appointment, Shirley returned to social media to share another update, where she was told that the pain is due to the way she fell.

The ballroom star shared: “John Harris my osteopath that I saw was very helpful and again also said I was very lucky the way I hit.

“He said it was ‘good job it wasn’t here or here’,” as she pointed to her lower head.

She continued: “Very grateful for him – realigned, readjusted.

“I need to take it easy for 72 hours and hopefully should be as right as rain.

“And the knee and the ankle and the rest of the spine is due to the way I twisted when I fell.

“So he’s had a look at that and I should feel like a new woman within 72 hours – can you imagine? A new woman!”

Yesterday, Shirley left fans worried as she revealed the ordeal which required her to have a brain scan.

She wrote: “Thank you to all who reached out to see how I’m doing.

“Scary fall backwards hitting my head on the glass dressing table.

“Trip to hospital to get a brain scan.

“Fortunately for me no cracked skull.”

Shirley said doctors had told her she was “very lucky” to be escaping with just some minor injuries.

“I’ll rest a few days to heal my neck and back,” she continued.

“Gratitude as the doctors said I was very lucky.”

BACK AT IT

Just last week, Shirley revealed she’s ready to find a new boyfriend after splitting up from her ex Danny Taylor.

Shirley announced her breakup from her ex back in November 2024 and has been single since and looking after her 88-year-old mother Audrey.

Speaking about her love life, she told Daily Mail: “I may have had a date or two.

“I know my truth. I know my authentic self, and if I want to go out on a date I will go. Nothing serious. No labels, no tags.

“I’ve met several nice people over the years. If somebody asks me out and I like them, I go. If I don’t, I don’t bother.

“I am very careful, though, when I do go out with someone. I will have known them for a while.”

However, the BBC One star has a certain list of requirements for what she looks for in a partner.

“Humour. I like somebody with some intellect. Generosity, too,” she expressed.

“I’ve always been that person that pays for everybody, so it’s actually quite nice when they say, ‘No, I’ve got this’.

“I think, ‘Oh, this is nice’. Somebody who’s smart, well kept, takes care of themselves. I like that kind of guy.”
