My 10-year-old could open a shop with her skincare… I think it’s worth 10% of my pension but I’m not allowed to touch it

A MUM has admitted she’s “jealous” of her 10-year-old’s skincare collection, which is so big she could even open a shop.

The Scottish Doll said it’s the “reality of being a girl mum in 2026″, as she said it’s an “absolute p**s take”.

She began her TikTok video by showing her own skincare, which fits entirely in one little box.

And while her daughter’s room is an “empire” full of pricey products, the mum admitted she isn’t “allowed to touch” any of it.

“Lip glosses I’m not allowed to touch,” she said, showing the shelves filled to the brim with P Louise make-up.

“More lip glosses I’m not allowed to touch.

People say mum looks 30 but she’s 61 & never had work done or dyed hair

I make £1k every year on Vinted and here’s the top 2 mistakes mums make

“Blush that I once borrowed and she threw an absolute fit.”

While she said you’re “probably thinking that’s not too bad”, she pointed out that she wasn’t finished.

She then panned the camera to more P. Louise boxes, one of which contained 10 lip glosses, before showing the shelves on the wall – packed with hand sanitisers, lip glosses, hand creams and perfume.

“Silly you, did you think we were done?” she sighed.

“Here we have 10% of my pension.”

She added that there’s “something wrong with this picture”, when she has two lip glosses and her daughter has a “f**king Boots in her room”.

“I used to think toys were expensive,” she said.

“I used to be able to get her a Barbie. It would have a play set, accessories, everything for £30.

“Do you want me to show you what costs £30 in this room? That, that is the equivalent of a toy,” she added, holding up a pot of Sol De Janeiro cream.

She concluded by saying: “So yeah, this is what it’s like to be a girl mum in 2026.

“An absolute joke. For all you mums still on the toy stage, enjoy it. I’m stealing this.”

“Jealous of my 10 year old,” she captioned the video.

What kind of skincare routine IS suitable for a child?

By Fabulous beauty editor Tara Ledden

For kids, skincare is simple, all it needs is a gentle cleanse where I’d recommend something like Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser, £9.99, and a soft flannel, muslin cloth or sponge is handy for that hard-to-budge dried ketchup.

If your child is experimenting with make-up, then a micellar water like Simple Micellar Cleansing Water, £2.50, is the quickest and easiest way to remove colour cosmetics.

Then a PH balanced, fragrance free moisturiser like CeraVe Moisturising Cream, £5, is a nice part of a bed-time routine and can often help them wind down as well as help keep their skin hydrated.

If your child suffers from eczema or dry skin, CeraVe is a great brand to use, as is Aveeno. They’re both gentle and nourishing, so won’t dry out skin or cause irritation, but stick to a moisturiser and cleanser to avoid overcomplicating things.

An SPF is great, especially during the summer, and Garnier Ambre Solaire Ultra-Light Sensitive Face Fluid SPF50+, £12, will work for the full family as it’s not greasy and sits well under make-up.

“My youngest was like this her make-up collection was huge,” one person commented on the TikTok.

“She’s now a beauty therapist and absolutely phenomenal at her job. If she loves all things beauty it’s not a bad thing!”

“That’s actually impressive the amount of P. Louise she has,” another added.

“I absolutely feel your pain with this!” a third commented.

“I’m not allowed to touch my daughter’s either!”
