
COPS have launched an urgent probe after two men in balaclavas grabbed a woman and sexually assaulted her in an alleyway.
South Yorkshire Police said the woman managed to flee and get help.
Cops said she was grabbed by two men near Greenfield Gardens in Flanderwell, Rotherham, at around 11pm on January 13.
One of the suspects was described as being 6ft tall and wearing grey trousers.
The other was 5ft 6ins tall, skinny, and dressed in black.
Anyone who saw men of this description acting suspiciously in the area at this time should contact cops.
South Yorkshire Police said in a statement: “We are appealing for information and witnesses to a sexual assault in Rotherham.
“At around 11pm on Tuesday 13 January, we received a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted in an alleyway off Greenfield Gardens, in Flanderwell by two men wearing balaclavas grabbed the woman.
“The woman managed to flee and report the incident.
“One of the men is described as approximately 6ft tall, of medium build, wearing grey trousers.
“The second man is described as approximately 5ft 6ins tall, of skinny build and wearing black clothing. Both were wearing face coverings.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are now appealing for anybody who may have any information or witnessed two men acting suspiciously in the Greenfield Garden area to contact us.
