Traitors star Charlotte Chilton ‘suffers terrifying seizure’ that left her unable to WALK after life-saving brain surgery

Charlotte Chilton has suffered a terrifying seizure that left her unable to walk after undergoing life-saving brain surgery.

The Traitors star, 34, was reportedly left unable to use her limbs after collapsing at her home just days after she was initially discharged from hospital.

A source close to the star said: ‘Charlotte suffered a seizure and collapsed while at home.

‘After returning from hospital, she was incredibly run down and had developed tonsilitis and a mouth full of ulcers.

‘She was on strong medication and it was a balancing act to find the right dose.’

They continued to The Sun: ‘Charlotte’s doctors think her seizure was related to the new medicine she was put on.

‘Her arms were limp and she couldn’t walk. It was absolutely terrifying.

‘Thankfully her mum and pops were on hand to take care of her physically until she regained control of her limbs and could speak properly again.’

The source added that Charlotte is slowly recovering.

Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Charlotte.

Last month Charlotte revealed she was rushed to A&E after suffering a ‘terrible’ trigeminal neuralgia attack, leaving her in agonising pain that she branded ‘physical torture’.

As a result, she underwent neurosurgery to bring long term relief for the chronic condition – which is sometimes called ‘the suicide disease’ because of impact the severe pain has on sufferers’ mental health.

She was discharged after nearly three weeks and told fans in a social media post: ‘After 18 days in hospital finally getting this bath I had dreamed about.

‘Still a recovery to go but at least I’m with my little Penny again! And yes this is filtered, I look like horrendous s*** if not’.

Charlotte has previously opened up about her battle with trigeminal neuralgia (TN), already having had brain surgery in her twenties, before this most recent severe flare up.

The disorder causes sudden, severe facial pain, that us often described as sharp or shooting, or like having an electric shock in the jaw, teeth or gums.

People with the condition may experience attacks of pain regularly for days, weeks or months at a time and in severe cases attacks may happen hundreds of times a day.

The NHS states: ‘Living with trigeminal neuralgia can be very difficult. It can have a significant impact on a person’s quality of life, resulting in problems such as weight loss, isolation and depression.’

While Charlotte was recovering in hospital following, Conor Maynard continued to stoke the fires of their ongoing paternity feud.

The star claimed in June 2024 that Conor was allegedly the father of her unborn ‘miracle’ baby, having fallen pregnant as a result of a one-night stand and going on to welcome baby Penelope.

Two paternity tests have since found that the singer, 33, who recently announced his engagement to his girlfriend Kitty Bertrand, is not the father, although Charlotte has staunchly insisted he is the dad and the test res

And just hours before Charlotte revealed she was having brain surgery, Conor took to TikTok to take a swipe at her, by using a popular trend that sees users revealing a line they say too much while Tame Impala’s 2015 track The Less I Know the Better plays.

As the words ‘so come on superman… say your stupid line’ appeared on the screen., the camera cut to Conor’s most overused line which is a direct nod to his paternity row with Charlotte, reading: ‘Are you SURE you didn’t sleep with anyone else?’

Followers were left split by Conor’s decision to once again bring up the paternity row, in light of Charlotte’s surgery as well as her recent vow that she is taking a step back from social media after months of back and forth.
