TYRELL MALACIA could still leave Manchester United this month.
Malacia is approaching the final five months of his contract and will seek clarity from new United head coach Michael Carrick before making a decision on his future.

The 26-year-old left back has generated some interest in this month’s transfer window but none of the options appeal to Malacia.
Malacia has made one substitute appearance this season against Newcastle on Boxing Day.
The Dutchman was one of five members of Ruben Amorim’s five-man ‘bomb squad’ who were told to report for training at a separate time to the main squad.
Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all gained permanent or temporary transfers but Malacia did not.
Malacia has been an unused substitute 11 times since he was reintegrated into the squad in October.
Malacia, who became Erik ten Hag’s first signing in July 2022, will be released in the summer if he is not sold in the winter window.
The Netherlands international joined PSV Eindhoven on loan midway through last season after making five starts under Amorim. Malacia was substituted at half-time in four of them.
Malacia has been injury-free since returning from a 550-day lay-off last season, having undergone two rounds of knee surgery.

United’s probable switch to a back four could further reduce Malacia’s chances of playing time, with Patrick Dorgu and Luke Shaw ahead of him in the pecking order.
Malacia played 45 minutes and scored for United Under 21s in their 4-1 win at Wolves on Monday night.
Carrick also has 18-year-old left back Diego Leon to potentially call upon, but the summer signing is yet to make his debut.
Fellow left back Harry Amass has returned to United as he mulls over whether to return to Sheffield Wednesday on loan or join another Championship club.
