Fury is set for a warm-up bout first – with 6ft 6in Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov among the names linked for the occasion.

And Fury has also teased an all-British showdown with WBO champion Fabio Wardley as he looks for a hat-trick of bouts in 2026.

His manager Spencer Brown said to iFL TV: “I told everyone he will come back, he is back loving boxing again.

“He’s had a year out, but we are maybe looking at three fights this year for him. He fancies fighting three times, he is in Thailand right now.”

Fury, 37, retired following consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk, 38, in 2024.

But he has confirmed he will be back in the ring again this year, as Brown confirmed Makhmudov and Wardley as potential opponents.

He said: “Tyson will fight anybody and he would fight the likes of Fabio Wardley.

“But you have to be realistic with Tyson, he’s been out for a year. He needs a fight to get his juices flowing first.

“I’d love to see him go Manchester as his first fight back in a homecoming, there’s a few fights after that.

“Makhmudov is one of the fights being talked about, there is a few different options.

“But Makhmudov is one of the front runners, yes he’s an option.”

Makhmudov, 36, is coming off victory over victory over Dave Allen, 33, in October in Sheffield.

Wardley, 30, meanwhile beat Joseph Parker for the WBO interim title the same month with a dramatic 11th-round stoppage.

And he was elevated to the full world title after Usyk vacated the strap in November.
