MARKS and Spencer is opening a new flagship 83,000 store next month with the “very best” food, fashion, home and beauty.
It comes as the high street chain has drawn up a sweeping list of towns, cities and suburbs where it hopes to open 500 new M&S Food Halls over the coming years.

The supermarket giant, known for its ‘picky bits’, aims to double in size.
On February 4, a brand-new flagship store will open in Bath SouthGate, with timings to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Customers can look forward to a fresh market-style food offer, including an in-store bakery, fresh produce from M&S’ Select Farms and dedicated flower and wine shops.
Customers looking for a break from shopping can enjoy a new and improved 140-seater M&S Coffee Shop.
Fashion wise, there will be even more Womenswear Autograph choices to browse and heritage brand Jaeger’s latest collection will be available, delivering tailored, premium pieces.
A dedicated beauty hall will offer M&S’ much-loved Apothecary and Fresh Elements skincare brands, alongside popular third-party brands including Clinique, Estee Lauder, Hello Sunday, TYPEBEA, Sam McKnight and ESPA.
M&S first announced the relocation from its existing location in Summer 2024, part of a larger investment across the South West including a new full-line store at Bristol’s Cabot Circus which opened in November.
It is one of more than 20 new or renewed stores M&S is opening in the second half of this financial year across the UK.
Natalie Jordan, Store Manager at M&S Bath SouthGate said: “We are counting down the days to reveal our showstopping store next month. Our customers deserve the very best of M&S and our new location will deliver just that, with new products to explore and guaranteed trusted value and quality.”
Natalie added: “The team and I have been busy getting ready for the move and we’ve welcomed 40 new joiners which has been fantastic.
“It’s a hugely exciting time for us here in Bath and we can’t wait to welcome local residents and visitors to the city alike.”
