Mystery as Michelin-starred chef quietly shuts down top UK steakhouse for good

A CELEBRITY chef has abruptly shut his restaurant for good after operating for 15 years in the heart of a busy UK city.

The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Liverpool wrote on its website that it will no longer be operating in the city.

In a statement, it said: “Sorry we missed you! We’re no longer at this location.

“But don’t worry, you can still get succulent steaks and tantalising desserts at another one of our Marco Pierre White restaurants. See you there soon!”

The restaurant first opened its doors in 2011 on the ground floor of the Hotel Indigo.

It was given a huge renovation five years later, combining industrial fixtures and fittings of warm copper alongside weathered woods.

The establishment served a range of dishes from afternoon teas to steak with seasonal ingredients.

But the fans of the restaurant will be disappointed to hear that the restaurant had decided to close permanently.

It gave no explanation as to why it shut their doors and instead redirected guests to one of its other locations.

Marco, one of the youngest chefs to be awarded three Michelin stars, continues to operate more than 15 restaurants across England.

These include his Wheeler’s Fish and Chips establishment, as well as New York Italian restaurants.
