HOLLYWOOD’S biggest stars hit the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday night – with nude illusions and sultry black looks taking center stage across the evening.
As the world’s biggest celebrities descended on Beverly Hills, Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser set the standard in a pretty-in-pink dress.
Arriving with partner Chris Convy, Nikki beamed in the A-line, 60s inspired look as she posed for pictures ahead of leading Sunday night’s ceremony.
Nude illusion proved popular for the stars this year, with Jennifer Lawrence arriving in a sheer outfit with intricately-stitched flowers covering her up.
The Die My Love star later proudly declared she was in for a good night as “she was already naked.”
She completed the look with a baby pink drape that also had flowers stitched onto it.
Jennifer Lopez also sizzled in a skin-colored dress, though was notably more covered up with a spiraled-brown pattern covering most of the gown.
The bottom of the dress fish-tailed with an explosion of tulle, with the Ain’t It Funny singer keeping her hair up and away from her face as she smoldered over her shoulder to photographers.
Selena Gomez and new husband Benny Blanco looked more loved-up than ever as they appeared together on the carpet, wrapping their arms around each other as they posed.
Selena, whose TV show Only Murders in the Building had four nominations, went for a sultry smoky eye and deep maroon lipstick to contrast against her stunning black Chanel gown with white feathers across the top.

Musician Benny smartened up in a black suit, but made sure to maintain some of his own style with an unbuttoned black shirt and unbuttoned jacket.
Priyanka Chopra-Jonas showed off a stunning look in a navy gown by Dior, also wearing a thick diamond necklace that glistened in the light.
Her husband, Nick Jonas, joined her in a simple and classic tuxedo, keeping a protective arm around his wife as they posed for the cameras.
Kylie Jenner looked absolutely stunning in a silver gown, but she skipped the red carpet and just posted sexy snaps on TikTok instead.
She later appeared in the audience by boyfriend Timothee Chalamet’s side, and the couple shared an awkward kiss when he won the award for Best Actor for his role in Marty Supreme.
Wunmi Mosaku, who stars in Sinners, lit up the red carpet in a stunning yellow dress.
In an even bigger celebration than her nominations, Wunmi glowed as she kept a protective arm on her baby bump, posing happily for the cameras as she shared her news.
It seems there’s something in the water for Sinners – as Hailee Steinfeld, who leads the cast alongside Michael B. Jordan, also showed off her blossoming bump.
She announced in December she was pregnant with her first child alongside her husband, NFL player Josh Allen.
Brittany Snow kept things simple and understated with a white sleeveless gown with a bell-shaped skirt.
Slicking her blonde hair back, Brittany framed her face with two loose strands, adding a pop of glam with huge diamond earrings.
Justine Lupe, who stars as Morgan in Netflix’s Nobody Want This, also showed off a daring side worthy of her character in a completely sheer dress.
Going braless as she posed for the camera, Justine – who previously appeared in Succession – looked incredible in the ruffled, beige gown, leaving her blonde hair naturally wavy and down.
Co-star Timothy Simons showed off his unique style in a sunburnt orange trench coat, and a black suit, shielding his eyes with a pair of sunglasses with his brown hair spiked with blonde tips.
Nobody Wants This, which became a smash hit for Netflix when it first launched last year, was up for three nominations – best comedy, as well as best comedy actor and actress for lead stars, Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
Alicia Silverstone brought the glam, showcasing her hour-glass figure in a tight, ruby red corseted gown with a fishtail skirt.
With her hair pulled over into a side parting, the star hair had a lose wave as it cascaded down her shoulders, with a diamond necklace adding even more elegance to the look.
While it’s customary for the women to go all out for the event, several men made sure they turned out as stylish as possible for a night with their fellow stars.
Snoop Dogg looked classically cool in an immaculately tailored double-breasted suit with a red detailing.
Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn ditched a tie or dicky bow with his navy blue velvet suit, which he kept open as he smiled in the carpet.
Glen Powell followed a similar look in a blue velvet suit, but tweaked to make his style more unique by parting his hair into a 90s curtain style, and wearing thick black rimmed glasses.
Green was the way to go for some stars, with a deep emerald proving a favourite for some of the stars on the carpet.
Love Island’s Olandria Carthen looked incredible in a tight green corseted dress with a tight mermaid silhouette as she walked down the carpet.
Chase Sui Wonders, who appears in Apple TV+ show The Studio, also opted for an emerald green, with a backless custom Balenciaga dress with a bow on the back and a long train that flowed behind her.
Meanwhile film stars Kate Hudson and Elle Fanning both dazzled in silver.
Elle, whose film Sentimental Value is one of the top film’s nominated tonight with eight nominations, looked dripping in jewels in an encrusted Gucci gown.
Kate, who arrived on the carpet with partner Danny Fujikawa, wore a custom silver Armani Prive gown, completed the look with teardrop diamond earrings
Others chose for a more classic style, opting for black dresses – though most came with a twist.
Teyana Taylor, who won the first award for her role in One Battle After Another alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, stunned in a black dress that gave the illusion she was draped in black satin.
The actress, who also starred in Hulu’s All’s Fair, flashed her behind in a cutaway in the dress, exposing a diamond bow that kept her covered up.
She completed her look with her cropped black hair in waves, with a deep smoky eye that matched her equally smoking look.
Jenna Ortega, who is now a household name thanks to playing the titular character in Wednesday, channelled her character’s gothic look with a sexy twist.
The star wore a high-necked dress with tassled sleeves and the sides cut away, exposing the length of her underbust to her hips.
Smoldering to the cameras, star kept her hair up in a loose up-do.
Ariana Grande – who has spend the last three years as bubbly, pink-loving blonde Glinda in Wicked – shed the look completely for a new style.
Wearing a black gown and sporting a now brunette ponytail, she smiled as she waved to the cameras.
Dancing With The Stars came out in force, with Derek Hough one of the first on the carpet and one to make sure he took full advantage of the moment.
Showing off some of his well-known dance moves on the staircase, Derek sprung into the air to click his heels in a classic move straight out of the musicals.
Dylan Efron, who competed on the series this year, arrived shortly afterwards, wearing a black suit and baby blue shirt with black detailing on his collar.
Love Island-turned-Traitors star Maura Higgins brought old school Hollywood glam to the show, looking stunning in a simple black, figure-hugging dress.
Wearing her brown hair in a short wavy bob, Maura added a little extra dazzle to her outfit with a bronze-gold draped cape loose around her arms, training back behind her to the floor.
She completed the look with an elegantly tangled diamond necklace.

The awards show is a major notable point for fans of Hollywood ceremonies, as the winners often indicate what lies ahead during awards season – including who could win a coveted Oscar, and who could be snubbed completely.
The Academy Awards, which will be held on March 15th, will be the final ceremony during the awards season, with the coveted Oscar statues being deemed one of the highest accolades in the industry.
