Barcelona ‘make Marcus Rashford transfer decision’ with Man Utd star’s loan up at end of season

BARCELONA have reportedly decided the fate of Marcus Rashford beyond the summer.

The Manchester United attacker is on loan for the campaign at the La Liga giants with an option to make the deal permanent for around £26million.

Hansi Flick has been impressed by the England international who have offered 18 goal contributions in just 26 games to date – seven goals and 11 assists.

And now it is claimed by The Athletic that the Spanish giants have seen enough and want Rashford to stay at the club at the end of his loan deal.

Before his summer move to the Nou Camp, he also spent time on loan last campaign at United’s Premier League rivals Aston Villa.

The 28-year-old has already previously expressed his desire to remain in Spain.

He said: “Of course what I want is to stay at Barca.

“It’s an end goal, but it’s not the reason why I’m training hard and giving it my best.

“The purpose is to win. Barca is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles.”

Rashford and Co are currently leading the way in La Liga with just one defeat from 19 league matches so far.

They hold four point gap over Real Madrid, who they face in the Spanish Super Cup Final later tonight, with the game played in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Barca will be hoping to land that silverware to kick off what could be a memorable campaign with the club challenging for La Liga, the Copa Del Rey and Champions League.

Rashford will also be hoping to continue his form and catch the eye of national team boss Thomas Tuchel as the countdown to the World Cup continues.

The Three Lions’ gaffer will be keeping a close eye on all candidates for his squad that will jet out to USA, Canada and Mexico in the summer.
