A FORMER Premier League side will be unable to make signings during the January transfer window.
The EFL team was slapped with a shock transfer embargo amid an impressive season.

Cardiff City have been penalised for non-submission of 2024-25 accounts by the 31 December deadline.
Therefore, Cardiff can’t make any reinforcements in the winter market until they send in the figures.
The EFL’s website states: “An Embargo is removed once the relevant breach has been rectified.
“A Fee Restriction will remain in place from the date of the breach until it expires at the conclusion of three full transfer windows (pending appeal).”
Sheffield Wednesday are also under embargo during the January transfer window.
But that is because the Championship side is currently in administration.
Cardiff currently lead the League One table, but their opponents are not far behind.
The Bluebirds are only three points ahead of second-placed Lincoln City.
