WREXHAM star co-owner Ryan Reynolds went viral after missing his team’s third goal that led to a historic FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest.
The Red Dragons punched their ticket to the fourth round thanks to a 4-3 victory over Forest on penalties following an entertaining 3-3 draw at the Racecourse Ground.
Hollywood superstar Reynolds, 49, watched on from the VIP section, without his other co-owner Rob McElhenney, and couldn’t hide his emotions throughout all the suspense.
Wrexham opened the scoring on 37 minutes with Liberato Cacace and doubled their lead five minutes before half-time with Oliver Rathbone.
The Deadpool star was seen celebrating both those goals with all of his heart from his box.
Forest hit back in the second half with a stunning header by Igor Jesus on 64 minutes.
But Wrexham regained the lead just 10 minutes later with an impressive diving header by Dominic Hyam.
However, Reynolds was nowhere to be seen after Hyam’s clinical finish.
It was suggested that the A-lister was busy changing his SHIRT – with Reynolds’ outfit appearing to alter throughout the evening.
Nevertheless, the camera caught the Marvel star rushing back to the stands where he was obviously stunned by that development.
The American actor was also evidently gutted to have missed such a massive moment for his club.
Forest equalised just a minute before full-time with Callum Hudson-Odoi, who took the game to extra-time.
Neither team could break the stalemate and thus the game had to be settled on penalties.
And Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo proved to be the hero as he denied both Jesus and Omari Hutchinson from the spot.
Reynolds was left ecstatic after seeing his Championship team eliminate a Premier League side from the FA Cup for the first time in 26 years.
And he’ll have a memento to show for it too – having been spotted stuffing GRASS into his pocket prior to the match.
