Loose Women star Denise Welch took a swipe at her co-star Kaye Adams on the hit ITV show.
During Thursday’s instalment of the programme, the panellist, 67, and her fellow co-stars were discussing a new study which claims users of weight-loss injections such as Mounjaro and Wegovy pile the pounds back on four times faster after stopping treatment.
However, the debate quickly descended into chaos as Denise and Kaye, 63, repeatedly talked over one another while attempting to make their points.
Kicking off the discussion, Denise argued that weight-loss injections were no different from any other medication and warned that all drugs come with side effects.
She said: ‘Listen, I’m not qualified, but I have read as much as anybody about the jabs, you know, and there are more – everything’s got a side effect.
‘If you read the side effects of paracetamol, you will be surprised at how many people die a week of the side effects of paracetamol, and if this -‘

During Thursday’s instalment of the programme, the panellist, 67, and her fellow co-stars were discussing a new study which claims users of weight-loss injections such as Mounjaro and Wegovy pile the pounds back on four times faster after stopping treatment
However, the debate quickly descended into chaos as Denise and Kaye (seen), 63, repeatedly talked over one another while attempting to make their points
Kaye quickly interjected, saying: ‘Yeah, but paracetamol have long term studies attached. I mean you have to say that about-‘
But Denise cut her off, firing back: ‘This has been used for diabetics for 30 years.’
Kaye replied: ‘Yeah, but that’s a specific medical condition. I mean, this is a study that’s published in the BMJ…’
Once again talking over her co-star, Denise shot back: ‘Did you study the COVID jab when that came out? That hadn’t been out very long.’
Kaye responded: ‘Well, and lots of controversy around it isn’t there?’
As the tension escalated, Denise snapped: ‘Right, I had it.’ and Kaye continued: ‘There was 9000 people involved in this study, it’s published in the BMJ.’
Clearly frustrated, Denise insisted: ‘There have been studies, they are not going to give this drug, which is reducing the pressure on the NHS..
But Kaye cut in sharply: ‘You can’t say studies, shmudies, Denise.’
Kicking off the discussion, Denise argued that weight-loss injections were no different from any other medication and warned that all drugs come with side effects
However, Kaye quickly interjected, saying that paracetamol has long-term studies behind it, and that the new study on weight-loss jabs involved 9,000 people and was published in the BMJ
Throughout the segment, the pair continued to clash, with Denise dismissing Kaye’s arguments and suggesting she only believed the new study because it went against the weight-loss jab
She also took a swipe at her co-star towards the end of the debate saying: ‘You’re just thin! We haven’t been thin!’
Denise hit back: ‘No, but you’re believing that one because it’s against the weight-loss jab.’
Joining the debate, Sunetra Sarker attempted to calm the situation, saying: ‘But I think what we’re missing here is the fact that anything that reduces weight, which claims to be weight loss, if you stop doing it you are always going to put on weight.’
Kaye disagreed, adding: ‘But they’re saying that regardless you regain the weight faster than you would.’
Denise dismissed her point, replying: ‘Yes, but you don’t want to believe the surveys, Kaye, because you just said that to me.’
Sunetra added: ‘But you know what, that also happens, you regain weight faster with other things. I have done the cabbage soup. We’ve all done the diets.’
Turning towards Kaye as she looked on disapprovingly, Denise then took a swipe, saying: ‘You’re just thin! We haven’t been thin!’
Fans were quick to react on social media, with one backing Denise, writing: ‘Denise isn’t rude she just passionate and informed.’
However, another blasted her behaviour, adding: ‘Denise is so rude. She shouts over everybody.’
