DARREN FLETCHER has not spoken to Manchester United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is in the hunt for a new interim head coach.
Fletcher is preparing for his second game since taking on the caretaker role following Ruben Amorim‘s axing, with United set to face Brighton in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Fletcher – whose first career trophy came in the 2004 FA Cup – oversaw a 2-2 draw against Burnley in his first game at the helm.
When asked by SunSport if he had spoken to Ratcliffe regarding his future, Fletcher said: “I have not, no. I speak to Omar [Berrada] and Jason [Wilcox].
“For me, I have been focusing on the job in hand. No thoughts or conversations on my future.
“They have given me full responsibility to take control for these two games.”
Fletcher also made a point of alluding to the fact that Wilcox and Co have not interfered with how United might set up against the Seagulls.
The former midfielder added: “I’ve had responsibility for my own decisions,to lead the team and prepare the team, that is what I have been doing.
“There have been no conversations with anybody outside of those two people in higher-up positions in the club.”
United’s Ineos leadership team are set for face-to-face talks with Michael Carrick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer imminently.

Both perspective candidates have been tied up with personal commitments this week.
Ratcliffe’s failings have come under the microscope in the wake of dismissing Amorim 14 months after the Portuguese took the reigns.
United supporters group 1958 have announced plans to protest against United’s ownership group, spanning from the majority owning Glazer family to Ratcliffe and his Ineos executives.
The 1958 branded Ratcliffe a “incompetent clown” who is responsible for turning United into a bigger “circus”.
The organisation, who will march before United’s home clash against Fulham on February 1, also blasted Wilcox and his close chum Berrada.
