A MAN has taken the internet by storm after he allegedly popped the big question in Poundland.
Thrilled Tiff (@lifewithtiff19) took to TikTok to proudly show off her new engagement ring she revealed her partner had used for the alleged proposal.
According to Tiff, whose ex had previously promised her a ring but never ended up getting one, her new boyfriend popped the question inside the discount store.
Poundland first launched the ring back in 2019, causing a storm of controversy on social media.
But it seems the ring has hit shelves once again by popular demand – and Tiff’s partner didn’t sleep on the cheap opportunity, which set him back just a quid.
Although her fella snapped up the ring in a size Large – and proposed with the bargain still in the packaging – Tiff revealed she later had to swap it for a size Small.

The dainty ring, which features a small diamond-looking gem, is just one of the many in the collection, as per Poundland.

According to the popular retailer, 20,000 rings were sold in one week the year they first launched.
The traditional rule says proposers should fork out three months’ salary on an engagement ring.
So it’s no surprise some people aren’t too happy about the TikToker being proposed to with a Poundland engagement ring.
“I’d rather not receive a ring at all,” wrote one person under the clip which has racked up a whopping 192k views.
“An engagement ring that’s guaranteed to waste and turn your finger green how lovely,” another commented.
“The concept of a tesco’s meal deal being worth more than your engagement ring,” a third troll chimed in.
But while some thought he may was well have proposed with a ”Haribo” ring, there were also plenty of those hitting back at the harsh critics – including Tiff herself.
She wrote in the caption following the alleged proposal: “You don’t need to have the most pricy ring. the poundshop one is good. had to swap for small.
“Least this time I ended up with a ring as my ex bull**t and said I be getting one and I didn’t get one haha.”
“If that’s what the man could afford then that’s what he can afford,” said one kind viewer, congratulating the pair.
“Why’s everyone hating, it’s the thought that counts and I think this cute,” someone else agreed.
“Never about the price, about the love! Congrats girl,” another said.
