SICK of moping at your desk? A career change may be what you’re after and you don’t even need experience to land top roles paying up to £62,000.
Five top companies and employers are on a hiring spree right now – with perks including a £20,000 deposit for a home and £800 in savings the next time you hit the shops.
CV-Library has put together a list of the top roles that are on the hunt to recruit staff this year.
Be aware that you may need to take a small pay cut initially while you complete training.
But there’s plenty of opportunities for career progression – and you can quickly bump up your salary to as much as £62,000 once you’ve climbed up the ladder.
And those looking to kick the start the new year with a fresh job should take advantage of companies looking to snap up staff.
Britain’s unemployment rate has been worsening in recent years, with the latest figures from the ONS showing the UK unemployment rate now sits at 5.1%.
Business leaders have previously warned that tax increases and hikes to the minimum wage have deterred them from taking on new staff.
A separate economic survey published by The Times warned that unemployment could hit an 11-year high this year as rising costs continue to bite.
We have rounded up the top five employers with the most amount of vacant jobs that also come with amazing perks below.
NHS – £24,926
You don’t need to be a doctor or a nurse to land a role at the NHS.
The government-backed health service has 104 live roles available, offering a mix of entry-level and professionally qualified opportunities.
For example, you could land a role as a domestic assistant, which means you make sure patients and staff have a clean and safe ward to operate in.
The role requires no formal experience; however, if you have held previous roles as a cleaner, that may stand you in good stead.
Perks include getting access to a Blue Light Card, which includes a range of benefits, including £20,000 off a new home.
As part of the scheme, which offers a discount to workers across public sectors such as the NHS and fire service, you can get £20,000 off a Barrett Home.
With the scheme, for every £20,000 spent on the purchase price of a brand-new Barratt home, Blue Light will contribute £1,000 towards your deposit – up to a maximum of £25,000.
For example, on a home costing £325,000, you would qualify for a contribution of £16,250.
To sign up for a Blue Light card you need to register online at Blue Light Card, and pay a £4.99 fee for two years’ access to discounts.

How to register for a Blue Light Card
To be eligible for a Blue Light Card, you’ll need to prove your profession by uploading a form of valid ID or a recent payslip.
To sign up, just head to the Blue Light Card website where you’ll have to fill out a form.
Bear in mind, you’ll be asked a couple of questions, for example, about your job title and where you work.
The retailers that participate in the Blue Light Card scheme can change regularly, meaning there isn’t a comprehensive list of stores you can use it at.
So it’s worth checking whether the discount is valid on the store website if you’re shopping online, or asking a member of staff when at the till in-store – the worst they can say is no.

The Department of Health and Social Care – £25,604
If you fancy a career that is centred around helping others, a role as a carer could be for you.
CV-Library said that there are up to 5,886 live vacancies for care workers working for the Department of Health and Social care across the UK.
Many entry-level positions in adult social care don’t require prior qualifications or experience as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided once you start.
Your day-to-day could include helping vulnerable individuals with tasks such as bathing or administering medication.
But for other roles, you may just need to help with housework and keep your clients company – like playing a game of Scrabble.
This can be a really rewarding job, so ideal if you’re craving a job that gives you a sense of purpose.
According to the job site the average hourly wage is £12.96, which translates to an annual salary of approximately £26,957 per year.
Perks include finding a job with hours that fit around your life.
The sector operates 24/7, meaning it can offer various shift patterns including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
This may be ideal for a parent who is looking to spend the mornings with their family.
Lidl – £62,000
Lidl is one of the best-paying supermarkets in the UK, offering between £13-14.65 per hour for customer assistants, depending on whether you live in London or not.
That is £27,040 per year if you are on the lower ranging salary, while staff in the capital can make around £30,472.
You could start off as an assistant and work your way up to store manager, which will see you earn between £46,000 and £62,000 a year.
To land a junior role, no experience is necessary as training is provided, but any previous jobs in retail would stand you in good stead.
You could apply directly for the senior potion, but you might need to have experience leading and managing a team.
Experts at CV Library Lidl said there are up to 152 live vacancies on its site at the moment for roles in its stores.
There is a range of perks on hand too, including employee discounts and leave if you ever need fertility treatment such IVF or egg freezing.
The Met Police – up to £59,994
You could spend your life fighting crime and helping the community with a role at the Met Police.
The force, which is responsible for protection across the greater London area, currently has 18 live roles with CV-Library and plans to expand further.
This includes police officer roles with an attractive starting salary of £42,210, rising to £59,994 once fully qualified.
You don’t need any university experience to join the force, but you will need at least two A levels or a Level 3 qualification.
You can train either with the Police Constable Entry Programme, which involves classroom learning and on-the-job training.
You’ll spend the majority of your time working alongside experienced police officers out on London’s streets. This takes two years.
Or you can opt for a three year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA). This also involves learning on-site alongside study at a university.
Your salary increases to £44,844 after two years for PCEP or £47,475 after three years for PCDA.
Both programmes offer the chance to earn up to £59,994 after five years.
Plus, there are plenty of benefits that come with the role, including free travel around London. That could save you nearly £2,000 a year.
Or you could sign up for a Blue Light card, which gives you a chance to save £800 a year, based on an average saving of £70 monthly on groceries and other everyday essentials.
You can use it to get discounts on clothes, holidays, insurance and even cars, and it can be used to across thousands of restaurants, shops and venues.
There are around 15,000 discounts to choose from.
Voyage Care – £25,531
This company provides support for those with learning and physical disabilities across the UK.
They are also actively recruiting, with 356 live jobs available across its 264 registered homes and centres in the UK.
Better yet, you don’t need any experience to land one of these roles which pay up to £25,531.
That is because paid training is provided to all staff. You will also have an induction for a couple of weeks where you shadow a colleague to put your training into practice.
Plus, securing a job here offers a range of perks, including access to a Blue Light Card.
