Minneapolis ICE shooting latest: Trump breaks silence as protests erupt over killing of suburban mom

Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that he watched the video of the Minneapolis ICE shooting.

‘The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,’ he wrote.

‘Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital.’

The president seemed to blame ‘radical left’ rhetoric for the shooting.

‘The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis,’ he wrote.

‘They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!’

Governor Tim Walz said the victim of Wednesday’s ICE shooting has not been identified.

‘This is an open investigation,’ he said.

A 37-year-old woman was shot and killed by ICE agents in southern Minneapolis on Wednesday.

ICE protestors were seen setting fire to the American flag close to the scene of where a woman, 37, was shot and killed by an ICE agent in her car on Wednesday.

Protestors were reportedly shouting profanities about ICE and to ICE agents according to reporters on the scene.

The White House Rapid Response X account called Democrat Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey a ‘scumbag’ in the wake of a deadly ICE shooting.

‘Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey says the heroes of ICE, who have removed droves of hardened criminals off Minneapolis streets, “are not here to cause safety in this city,”‘ the account wrote.

‘This scumbag should be ashamed of himself.’

ICE agents were pictured pepper spraying protesters at the scene of a the deadly shooting.

Protesters gathered at the site where an ICE agent shot a 37-year-old woman in her car earlier in the day.

A 37-year-old Minneapolis woman was shot and killed by ICE agents less than one mile from where George Floyd was killed in 2020.

Floyd was killed police officer Derek Chauvin, who used his knee to pin the black man’s neck to the pavement for almost 10 minutes.
