MARC GUEHI could leave Crystal Palace this month if Manchester City meet their £40million asking price.
Oliver Glasner, the Palace boss, has refused to rule out Guehi being sold with City considering a move following their injury crisis.
Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol are facing a long spell on the sidelines, the latter having suffered a broken leg.
And while Glasner does not want to lose his captain, he has conceded a big offer could force Palace’s hand with the club understood to value the England man at £40m.
Guehi himself would still need convincing, given he will be a free agent in the summer and command a significant signing on fee.
Glasner said: “There will be a moment when the club says, now the financial issue is more important than the sporting issue.
“I’m not so naive that I know if it comes to a massive offer from City and Marc wants to do it, it could happen.”
Palace pulled the plug on a £35m deadline day move to Liverpool last summer and have now upped their asking price given they would need to replace Guehi this month.
Glasner was already seeking defensive reinforcements and revealed that, before City’s two injuries, they were exploring a move for one of Pep Guardiola‘s defenders.
He added: “Maybe we wanted to buy a player from Man City and we can’t anymore. Because we have injuries as well.
