STACEY Solomon has shared a zero-waste hack that’ll use up your mouldy Christmas fruit.
So if your fridge is bursting at the seams with food that’s going off, you’ve come to the right place and won’t want to miss this.
Thanks to this Loose Women star, 37, not only will you save space in your food bin this January, but your home will also smell fabulous too.
Posting on social media, on her Instagram stories, the beloved reality star proudly showed off her “simmer pot”.
Stacey said: “I’ve got a little simmer pot on the go.”
In Stacey’s small glass saucepan, which she had on her stove, she heated up orange slices and rosemary in water, which were leftover from the festive season and could’ve gone to waste.

Thrilled with her easy trick, which will release festive scents around your home in an instant, she continued: “Trying to make the house smell nice with any of the fruit and herbs and stuff that was about to go off.”
As well as Stacey’s simmer pot hack, she also shared two other no-waste food hacks you won’t want to miss.
Firstly, the mum-of-five explained: “I used all the old salads – cut that up and made it for my lunch.”
As well as this, she showed off her slow cooker, as she continued: “And then I had some chicken that was going out [of date] tomorrow so it’s stew for dinner tonight – woohoo.
“This is why I love a fridge reset – I can use up all the stuff in the fridge that’s about to go [out of date] and make something out of it so it doesn’t get wasted.”
Not only this, but Stacey then gave her followers a close-up look at the “hidden fridge” in her utility room.
The cleanfluencer who rose to fame on The X Factor and is now the Sort Your Life Out host, revealed: “We do have another fridge in here.
“All of you always say, ‘where’s your junk and drinks and snacks and stuff?’ – they’re in here.

“It’s all of the fizzy drinks, chocolates and stuff. This is basically so that the kids don’t eat it all.
“They never come in the utility room so this is the hidden fridge.

Back in Stacey’s kitchen, she continued to “reset the fridge.”
She did this by cutting her grapes, washing her strawberries and putting her vegetables in plastic containers.
Stacey Solomon’s cleaning tips
IF you want a home that gleams like Stacey’s, you’ll need to listen up!
Label Everything: Stacey swears by the power of labelling. From pantry jars to storage bins, clear labels help keep everything organised and easy to find.
Daily Tidy Routine: Dedicate 15-20 minutes each day to tidying up. This prevents clutter from building up and makes weekly deep cleaning less daunting.
Baking Soda Magic: Stacey uses baking soda for a variety of cleaning tasks. It’s great for deodorising carpets, cleaning grout, and even freshening up mattresses.
Upcycle Containers: Repurpose old jars, tins, and containers to store cleaning supplies, craft materials, or kitchen ingredients. It’s both eco-friendly and cost-effective.
Shine with Vinegar: White vinegar is a staple in Stacey’s cleaning arsenal. It works wonders on windows, mirrors, and even limescale build-up in kettles.
Make It Fun: Turn on your favourite music or podcast to make cleaning less of a chore and more of a fun, productive activity.
Use a Toothbrush: For those hard-to-reach spots, a toothbrush can be an excellent tool. Use it to scrub grout lines, around taps, and in other small crevices.
Declutter Regularly: Stacey advises a regular declutter session to get rid of items you no longer need. This keeps your home neat and creates more space for the things you love.
Air Fresheners: Create your own natural air fresheners using essential oils. Stacey loves using lavender or citrus oils to keep her home smelling fresh.
Microfibre Cloths: These are essential for dusting and cleaning surfaces without leaving streaks. They are reusable and can be easily washed.
Incorporate these tips into your routine for a cleaner, more organised home, just like Stacey Solomon’s!
According to this star, resetting her fridge gives her a “happy brain” as she gushed: “This is one of my favourite resets to do.
“It actually makes my brain happy.
“And it’s always the best after the Christmas holidays because it gets SO bad.”
