Fulham and Liverpool meet in what has become a reliable source of goals in recent seasons.
The last four Premier League meetings between the sides have produced 20 goals, with both teams scoring at least twice in three of those four clashes.
Their most recent encounter finished 3-2 to Fulham, making the Cottagers one of just three teams Liverpool failed to beat during their title-winning Premier League campaign last season.
And Fulham may fancy their chances again given their recent uptick in form.
Marco Silva’s side have lost just one of their last five league games, winning three and snatching a late point against Crystal Palace last time out. That run has lifted them to 11th, with only the top four collecting more points over the last five matches.
Fulham have also been strong at Craven Cottage, winning five of their last eight home league games and keeping four clean sheets – twice as many as they managed at home last season.
However, history still favours the visitors.
Fulham have won just one of their last 19 Premier League games against the reigning champions (D3 L15), while Marco Silva has lost all 11 of his Premier League matches against title holders – the highest 100% loss rate of any manager in the competition.
Liverpool, then, will feel confident of returning to Merseyside with maximum points.
The Reds are unbeaten in eight across all competitions (W5 D3), keeping four clean sheets in that run. Their momentum stalled slightly with a goalless draw against Leeds on New Year’s Day, leaving them fourth, six points behind Aston Villa.
Encouragingly, after losing five consecutive away league games against London sides, Liverpool have now won their last two. They’ve also scored in their last 20 Premier League matches in the capital, a run stretching back to a 0-0 draw at Chelsea in April 2023.
