TWO prisoners including a murderer are being hunted by police after absconding from jail on New Year’s Day.
The lags escaped from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire between 5pm and 8pm on January 1.
Cops said urgent actions have already been completed, including circulating them as wanted via national police systems.
Intelligence work to trace the men’s movements is now ongoing, said the force.
A third man who is suspected of absconding at the same time was arrested in Bristol earlier today.
