JEMMA Solomon has admitted she’s “starting 2026 differently” as she makes a huge change on social media.
Just days after announcing the “scary” life decision to close her business after six years, the 37-year-old mother has now altered her Instagram account in a desperate bid to avoid “a chase.”
Posting on her Instagram grid, the entrepreneur uploaded a sweet snap of herself kissing her seven-year-old son Hudson on the cheek.
Alongside the image celebrating the New Year, Stacey Solomon’s sister Jemma – founder of The Label Lady – confirmed that she has made the decision to remove the likes from her posts, a feature added to the platform in 2021.
The content creator said: “Starting 2026 a little differently … turning off my likes 💕”
Opening up about her decision to remove the visibility of likes on her account, where she has amassed 866,000 loyal followers, the brunette added: “Likes are important because they help with engagement, so your posts go further better interaction, but I really want to remove that need for validation.

“Wanting likes on a post becomes a chase, a worry am I good enough kind of feeling. Am I performing well enough….
“I don’t want that for me in 2026.”
Not only this, but Jemma, who now no longer has a job after making a self-dubbed “selfish decision” to say “goodbye” to her home-organisation business, then expressed her desire for this year.
The mum, who has three children – Darcy, 12, Mila 10, and Hudson, seven – continued the social media post and acknowledged her hope to share content that makes her “happy.”
Eager to shake off her worries, she reflected: “This year I want to post the things that make me happy, the things that make my heart feel full and not have that worry feeling!”
Meanwhile, the Essex-based entrepreneur, who was recently reported to have had a “struggle year” in 2025, addressed “a new cycle” for 2026.
The influencer recognised: “I’ll still be able to see them in the background but for now this is something for me to make me happy and the everything I have read about this year being a new cycle I’m excited 💕
“2026 let’s go.”
More on Jemma Solomon
Jemma and Stacey Solomon were born just 18 months apart and grew up together in a small house in Dagenham, London.
They shared more than just a bedroom – they both had ambitions of hitting the big time and leaving their struggles behind.
Like most siblings, their childhood relationship wasn’t smooth sailing and Jemma has openly spoken about the tensions between the two of them.
On her sister’s reality TV show, Stacey & Joe, she said: “Growing up, Stacey was annoying at times.
“We actually fought quite a lot when we were younger, and she would steal all my stuff and take all my bits and get me in trouble and make the mess and then blame me for it.”
But whilst Stacey pursued the life she had always hoped for, Jemma’s life was falling apart.
Her husband Lee lost his job as a tradesman in March 2020, leaving Jemma to cover the family’s bills.
She decided to step away from nursing and launched her own home-organisation business, The Label Lady.
Jemma’s venture was even backed by business tycoon Lord Alan Sugar, who in 2021 became an investor and director in her company.
Finally, Jemma felt like she had leaped out of Stacey’s shadow.
“I’d been making labels to put on kitchen cupboard items and my kids’ toy boxes since 2016,” Jemma exclusively told Fabulous previously.
“But after quitting my job as a pediatric nurse in January 2020, I started to make more because I was at home more. I wanted a change and was looking for another job in the NHS at the time and doing shifts where you float between hospitals.
“I always questioned if I was good enough to make a career out of labels – but thought I’d just start by selling them on the side and seeing what happened. I never expected it to take off like it has!”
Jemma’s fans react
Jemma’s post has clearly left many open-mouthed, as her fans eagerly rushed to the comments to praise and share messages of love and support for the star.
One person said: “LOVE this. Social media can put so much pressure on people and for people to look for validation but the truth is as long as YOUR happy, nothing else truly matters. Happy 2026 to you and your beautiful family.”
I completely agree that it’s addictive to keep checking how many likes you’ve got! Good for you

Another fan added: “I had no idea you could turn likes off! This caption is everything Jemma! And you are more than enough, always.”
A third commented: “I had no idea this was a thing! But it’s so true! Just overloads with unnecessary pressure!”
Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: “I completely agree that it’s addictive to keep checking how many likes you’ve got! Good for you.”
