A man was slashed in the face and robbed when he stepped in to help an elderly passenger who was being threatened by a gang on a London Tube train, according to police.
British Transport Police (BTP) have released images of five men they want to speak to in relation to the incident, and want the public’s help in tracking them down.
A gang began threatening elderly passenger riding a Metropolitan Line train to Northwick Park just before 11pm on Monday, BTP said.
A fellow passenger bravely stepped in, but they assaulted him with a knife – leaving him with a slash wound above his eyebrow.
The group then fled from Northwick Park Underground station in Kenton with the man’s bag.
BTP is urging anyone who recognises the men in the pictures, or who has any further information, to get in contact with them.
Anyone with information can text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 607 of 29 December.
You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
