A MAN has died and a woman is fighting for her life after crashing into a roundabout and veering off the road on New Year’s Eve.
Cops were called to the scene on Wednesday morning in Irlam, Greater Manchester to reports of a collision.
The driver, a 48-year-old man, had smashed into a roundabout causing the car to veer of the road.
He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Greater Manchester Police said a 50-year-old woman, a passenger in the car at the time, suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition is hospital.
The force added is now appealing for any witnesses to the horror crash to come forward.
