EastEnders villain hints at shock return as she poses with new cast member after Christmas exit

AN EASTENDERS villain has dropped a hint that she’s making a shock return as she poses with a new cast member after her own Christmas exit.

The star made a bombshell return on Christmas Eve as part of a huge surprise after revealing that they were behind the campaign of terror against Zoe Slater.

Tracy-Ann dropped a hint she is back filming at EastEnders

Actress Tracy-Ann Oberman made her return as Chrissie Watts in secret last week – before her character left almost as quickly as she arrived.

However it seems her time in Albert Square may not be over after actress Tracy-Ann let slip a potential spoiler.

The star shared an Instagram post with EastEnders newcomer Ronni Ancona – who will soon make her debut as an old school pal of Linda Carter’s, Bea.

However with Bea not arriving on-screen until January, and Chrissie seemingly bowing out on Christmas Day, the pair’s filming dates wouldn’t have overlapped – unless Chrissie isn’t gone.

EastEnders boss spills major 2026 secrets with revenge plot and a huge return

Viewers know that Kat Slater has become convinced that Chrissie actually murdered Anthony Trueman and has framed Zoe for it.

Does this prove that theory correct? And will Chrissie be making another shock comeback to Walford?

Tracy-Ann has revealed why she returned to the show.

She said: “I enjoyed my return storyline with Sharon [Letitia Dean] last year so much that when Ben Wadey asked me to pop back for Christmas Day, how could I say no?

“Chrissie is in my DNA; she is such a great character, so, I love the idea of her returning at Christmas to create havoc.”

She added: “What I love about Ben, and the team at EastEnders, is that they are very open to discussing the character, and her motivations.

“They are so respectful about the characters and the actors that originated them. So, we had a long discussion about why Chrissie would actually come back to the Square, and what her motivations were and are.

“Who wouldn’t want to be part of the storyline on Christmas Day in Albert Square, particularly when it’s Chrissie!”

And while Chrissie’s return was a bombshell – the limited stint will see her reunite with Zoe and Sam Mitchell for the first time in more than two decades.

“Ben and I were keen to keep Chrissie’s return a complete secret, so I’m delighted my return was kept under wraps,” she added.
