TEMPLEGATE’S Tuesday picks are below.

THE CISTERCIAN (1.05 Haydock, nap)
This five-year-old son of the great Flat stayer Yeats was a revelation on debut for trainer Stuart Edmunds at Leicester earlier this month. He had already shown form in Ireland when third at Galway but destroyed his rivals on that first UK run when powering home. He stays in the same grade here and is proven over this trip so can take another step forward.
LE BEAU MADRIK (1.20 Taunton, nb)
Was second in his two bumper runs, including in good company at Cheltenham in October. He more than matched that form when striking on hurdles debut at Newcastle last time. The Skeltons now up him in distance and that should bring further improvement.
NED TANNER (1.35 Haydock, treble)
Won this race 12 months ago and is back from his last winning mark. He’s been hit and miss since but has had a wind operation which could rekindle his old spark.
LADY TADITA (2.20 Taunton)
Completes the Lucky 15. She won a bumper and made it two from two over hurdles at Huntingdon last month. Gavin Sheehan didn’t have to get serious on her and there’s a lot more to come from this talented four-year-old.
