Cops share CCTV of two men dressed in black they want to speak to after pedestrian was hit and killed by car

COPS have released CCTV of two men they wish to speak to after a pedestrian was killed in a fatal hit-and-run.

Kent Police shared the grainy images of the individuals dressed in black following the horror collision in Medway, Kent.

It happened near the junction with Waterside Lane in Gillingham.

The victim, a male, was treated at the scene but was declared dead despite the best efforts of paramedics.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit say they want to question two individuals in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Zoe Wilczek said: “While we appreciate the quality of these images isn’t crystal clear, we are still in the early stages of our investigation and thank everyone who has provided images and witness accounts so far.

“We urge anyone with relevant information regarding the incident or these men to get in touch with us.”

Cops were seen patrolling the area in Eastcourt Lane and Grange Road, while a police helicopter was also seen nearby.

A witness said she heard what she suspected were gunshots.

But local police say they do not believe the alleged offenders were armed.

A reporter from KentOnline at the scene said: “All the roads in the area are cordoned off. In Eastcourt Lane, I’ve seen two police officers and a police dog searching in a bush.

“There was also a police officer looking at the road in Yokosuka Way.”

It comes just days after local police released CCTV of a woman they wish to speak to after a 19-year-old was attacked at a bar.

The incident unfolded at a Slug and Lettuce in Bromsgrove, West Mids., at around 1am on December 13.

A 19-year-old man was left with an eye injury after the reported assault on High Street.

Police are keen to speak to the woman in the CCTV images as part of their investigation.

It is understood she was near the scene at the time and could provide information.

A Bromsgrove Police spokespersons said: “Officers are keen to identify the person pictured below following an incident in Bromsgrove on Saturday, December 13.

“Around 1am at the Slug and Lettuce on High Street, a 19-year-old man was assaulted and suffered an injury to his eye.

“The person in the images was seen nearby at the time of the incident, and it is thought they could help with enquiries.

“If you know who this person is, or have other information in relation to the incident, email Pc Roz Braithwaite on roz.braithwaite@westmercia.police.uk.”
