A HOLBY City has revealed how she endured a family tragedy on Christmas Day.

Jo Martin, 56, who plays Max McGerry in Holby City, revealed the sad news of her grand-nephew’s death at 21 on Instagram.

Taking to her page on Sunday, Jo shared the heartbreaking news of how her grand-nephew passed away on Christmas Day.

Sharing a snap of her grand-nephew, Jo penned a touching caption.

In the caption, the actress penned: “My beautiful Grand Nephew.

“He left us on Christmas morning 2025.

Jo concluded: “Truly heartbreaking only 21. Cancer is a bitch.”

In another post she said how she wished they could “bring him back” and explained how her family was “heartbroken”.

Fans and friends flocked to the comments section to sent messages of condolence to Jo and her family.

One person wrote: “I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your family.”

A second penned: “Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences.
