
FAZE Clan was a popular pro eSports and entertainment organization, including nine teams that competed in worldwide video game tournaments.
While Faze eSports will continue to operate, the clan of streamers announced the ‘heartbreaking’ news of its disbandment on December 28, 2025.
What is FaZe Clan?
FaZe Clan was one of the largest eSports organizations in the world.
It was founded in 2010 as a Call of Duty team by Eric “CLipZ” Rivera, Jeff “House Cat” Emann, and Ben “Resistance” Christensen, who reportedly met each other while playing COD Modern Warfare 2.
In 2012, the organization began growing and reached 1million subscribers on YouTube after posting multiple videos of them playing different games.
By 2020, they had become the fourth-most-valuable eSports company in the world at $305 million, with revenues reaching $50 million the following year, according to Forbes.
FaZe stated on its website: “We started out as internet kids armed with cameras and a diehard love for video games.
“We’ve turned our passions and struggles into a global creative engine that has no boundaries and continues to define gaming culture.
“Most importantly, we’re a family.”
In 2021, FaZe announced a SPAC merger that would see the group publicly traded on the Nasdaq and valued at over $1billion.
Before FaZe Clan disbanded in December 2025, it’s members had a combined fanbase of over 350million followers and the organization was reportedly worth as much as $700million.
Other top esports teams include TSM, Cloud9, Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, and Gen.G.
Who was in the FaZe Clan roster?
The FaZe Clan roster included 79 members of both gamers and content creators.
In April 2024, FaZe Clan shared a cryptic post about rebooting its roster.
In the video, a page of code could be seen with the text “An error has occurred” and “Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart your company.”
FaZe Banks, who is a founder of FaZe, replied to the eerie video with the new roster.

“Adapt, Apex, Banks, Jev, Kaysan, Nick Mercs, Replays, Ronaldo, Rug, Scope, Swagg, Temperrr, Your Rage, Zooma. Everyone else is out,” he wrote.
“That is the roster.”
Several members took to social media to announce that they were dropped by the gaming organization.

- FaZe Apex, whose real name is Yousef Abdelfattah
- FaZe Banks, whose real name is Richard Bengtson
- FaZe Pamaj, whose real name is Austin Pamajewon
- FaZe Jev, whose real name is Jason Vonderhaar
- FaZe Rug, whose real name is Brian Awadis
- FaZe Cizzorz, whose real name is Jack Cizek
- FaZe Sway, whose real name is Josue Burgos
FaZe Clan also boasted a number of celebrity members including LeBron James’ son, Bronny, and rappers Offset and Lil Yachty.
Is FaZe Clan disbanding?
FaZe Clan’s content creator and streaming side has officially disbanded, but FaZe as an esports brand will continue competing.
On December 28, 2025, FazeClan posted on X: “It’s heartbreaking to see this era of FaZe come to a close.
“It’s beyond tragic the way it all ended, it’s been an emotional few days.
We wish the boys the best not only as creators, but as people too.
“FaZe has always felt like a family, so we will always unconditionally root for and support them.”
The organization has shut down the classic FaZe Clan creator roster and announced that its focus going forward will be on FaZe Esports, which will continue to operate as a separate competitive division.
It added: “FaZe eSports has always operated as a separate entity, nothing on that side will change.
“Rather it will become our main focus moving forward. FaZe Forever 2010.“

- Stable Ronaldo, whose real name is Rani Netz
- FaZe Adapt, whose real name is Alexander Prynkiewicz
- FaZe Silky, whose real name is Jerry Woo
- JasonTheWeen, whose real name is Jason Nguyen
- FaZe Lacy, whose real name is Nicholas Fosco
Two more followed on December 26, 2025:
- FaZe YourRAGE, whose real name is Joshua Diaz
- FaZe Kaysan, whose real name is Kaysan Ghasseminejad
Members who quit on December 27 & 28:
- FaZe Apex, whose real name is Yousef Abdelfattah
- FaZe Swagg, whose real name is Kris Lamberson
- FaZe Rug, whose real name is Brian Rafat Awadis
- FaZe Replays, whose real name is Franco Sicilia
Maxwell “Plaqueboymax” Dent left FaZe Clan in August 2025, citing his music career as the main reason.
Kick streamer Adin Ross claims that the wave of departures from FaZe Clan stemmed from contract disputes between the departing creators and the organization’s owners.
However, Maxwell “Plaqueboymax” Dent also suggested long‑standing friction had been building for a while.

As of December 29, 2025, the remaining members are:

- FaZe Scope, whose real name is Luke Sharretts
- FaZe ZooMaa, whose real name is Thomas “Tommy” Paparatto
