After reading the scripts, Alison revealed she was left wondering how they would manage to pull off all the big twists planned.

Alison said: “(I was hoping for) nothing for Carla. I was just thinking what is this, what on Earth is this?

“There’s no words it’s just one thing after the other and (I was like), how on Earth (are we) gonna do it?

“Obviously I hoped I’d still be alive at the end of it and I got to the end.

“I was like yes I’m not even maimed, but maybe a little bit. I was just thanking goodness it was Duncan Foster because he is like our best friend.”

She added: “Honestly we knew as soon as Duncan was in charge, because I know him.

“He’s got everything written out in his head and then no matter what the weather threw at us or anything like that, he just made every frame by frame work. He’s as cool as a cucumber.

“You just, we just have to trust in him really and I sat and literally stalked him for the whole three weeks didn’t I?”

After letting slip her character survives, Alison then spoke about keeping the episode a secret from the public although she hinted she may have told some people what goes down.

Emmerdale actress Emma Atkins also revealed she had done the same with her mum.

But Alison quickly added: “You obviously don’t tell anybody who’s going to tell anybody, do you?”

Emma replied: “I usually ring my mum straight away. I’m not very good. No, I am great. We didn’t sign an NDA anyway, so we’re fine.”

Corriedale co-stars Jack P Shepherd and Danny Miller, who play Corrie’s David Platt and Emmerdale‘s Aaron Dingle, admitted they had spoke to each other as soon as the episode was revealed.

Alison then hinted Danny also messaged her about it – but as soap fans we will just have to wait and see what transpires.

Which characters have been confirmed for Corriedale?
