ANTHONY HAMILTON was guilty of an absolute howler as he crashed out of the British Seniors Open.
The Nottingham potter, 54, suffered a quarter-final exit to two-time World Championship runner-up Matthew Stevens in Derby.

Hamilton missed a sitter in the black ball shootout after they were level at 3-3 in the best-of-seven showdown.
He somehow failed to pocket the black and Stevens came to the table to book his spot in the final four.
After the costly error, a bewildered commentator on Channel 5 said: “I’m speechless. I really am speechless. How on earth has he missed that? Deary me.”
Snooker legend John Parrott added: “Oh my goodness. He won’t sleep tonight, after that.”
Fans also could not believe what they had seen from Hamilton, a former German Masters champion, and took to social media.
One said: “One of the worst misses you’ll ever see!”
Another added: “Anything is missable on a snooker table when I’m playing, but that is unforgivable for a professional to miss that one.”
A third chimed in: “The pockets at that event are enormous too.”

A fourth simply commented: “Ouch.”
Joe Perry then knocked Stevens out of the British Seniors Open and sealed a dramatic 7-5 win over Jimmy White in the final.
But snooker fans were furious when Channel 5 cut the feed for the final stages of the showdown.
The broadcaster told viewers they would have to turn over to Channel 5 Action to watch what proved to be the final frame.
Perry has pocketed £20,000 thanks to being crowned the winner at Vaillant Live.
