Shocking footage shows the moment fairground workers started separating a colleague from punters during a messy brawl on an adventure ride at Winter Wonderland.
Video shows ride attendants in hi-vis jackets having to stop one another from clashing with customers in yet another day of violence at the troubled festive event.
The drama unfolded at Hyde Park‘s Winter Wonderland in London on Boxing Day – days after a separate brawl on December 23 saw police having to draw a Taser out on a visitor.
The Daily Mail understands the altercation began after customers refused to leave the boarding area at the end of their ride and tried to re-enter the attraction.
As an attendant scraps with a reveller, his colleagues intervene and pull him away from the group.
One repeatedly shoves his colleague back into a corner, pushing him by the chest to remove him from the clash.
But the second guard defies the first by jumping over him to assist other staff members still dealing with the group of men.
The clip was posted on social media alongside the caption: ‘Just another day at Winter Wonderland.’
Video taken on Friday shows security guards in hi-viz jackets clashing with a group of men on a ride at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland in London
Those attending called for better security at the park – after the incident became the latest in a string of violent outbursts at the scandal-hit event.
A huge brawl on December 23 showed police having to draw a Taser out on at least one reveller.
Punches were thrown, bins were overturned and women were screaming as two rival groups clashed.
Video shows several men break into fights as security guards appear to push revellers to the floor.
After Boxing Day’s brawl, visitors vowed never to return to the event again. One onlooker said: ‘It was just another day of chaos.
‘It feels something has gone badly wrong if even the security guards are having to hold each other back from the conflict.
‘Winter Wonderland might sound like a nice Christmas event for the family. But there’s just been fight after fight.
‘How does it get to the point where even security guards have to hold each other back? It just looks terrible.’
Another said: ‘I will never go again. If I want to pay to watch a fight, I’ll put the boxing on the television. This is supposed to be a family event.
‘It’s a complete disgrace.’
The security guards then start pushing and shoving each other after one pulls the other apart from the group
A third added: ‘The security needs a huge overhaul. It feels like it has become a wrestling event, not a family Christmas event.’
This month, there was another fight which saw a woman punched unconscious by a reveller.
Winter Wonderland has been criticised as overcrowded and overpriced, and was this month named Europe’s most complained-about festive attraction.
A spokesperson for Winter Wonderland said: ‘The safety of visitors and staff is our priority.
‘The incident occurred after a small group of customers refused to leave a ride platform after completing their paid ride.
‘Ride attendants intervened to ensure the safe operation of the attraction and can be seen attempting to prevent the situation from escalating.
‘The incident was managed on site in line with established safety procedures.’
