A POSH influencer has found herself targeted by trolls after sharing her “exquisite” chewing gum swap.
Lydia Millen, who has a whopping 1.6 million followers on TikTok, took to the social media site to share the “niche” unboxing, as she explained she “gave up” chewing gum two years ago.

Instead, she’s swapped over to Barkleys mints, which come in cute little tins that typically retail for over £3 each.
In the video, which so far has been viewed over 407,000 times, Lydia explained that her choice was inspired by her “chic” grandmother, who always kept a tin of Fisherman’s Friends in her pocket.
“Chewing gum for me personally has always been one of those things that I just always felt like I was talking with my mouth full,” she said.
However, while she’s pleased with her decision to swap to mints, she said that she’s been left with loads of the tins.

So, she decided to buy a sterling silver “19th century pill box” from eBay that she could refill with the mints instead.
The box has a “stunning heraldic design crest” on the front of it, as well as a tartan pattern etched into the silver.
Lydia showed how she is now using the papers from the Barkleys tins to put in the pill box before filling up with the mints.
“It feels so exquisite when you’re offering someone a mint,” she said.
“At feels extra special to offer them one in something as beautiful as this!”
Lydia concluded by saying that splashing out on the box means that she’s taking something that’s “usually really thoughtless and unconsidered” and turning it into “something that feels more indulgent, more intentional” and that “elevates life that little bit more”.
But the comments section was immediately filled with people making fun of Lydia, with one writing: “It’s a mint. Is she serious?”
“Gosh if only I had that much time on my hands,” another sighed.
“I just buy Smint for 99p,” a third added.
“Just keep using the original tin. No need to buy a tin to put another tin in the bin!” someone else said.
“Why am I watching content on mint tins?” another questioned.
As others said Lydia’s video reminded them of influencer Nara Smith or Meghan Markle.

However, there were those who defended Lydia, with one calling her “nuts in the most wonderful way”.
“It makes perfect sense,” they added.
“Little pleasures in life are what makes it great!”
“So beautiful! I have a tiny tin like this for my pills but never thought about giving it another life!” another said.
“Mine is from a lady who lived in Paris and it is golden on one side and emerlad green on the other. Such a treasure.”
“It’s a great idea! Makes it feel more luxe,” a third wrote.
With someone else adding: “I don’t know why people are so negative.
