Kent Police are currently at the scene to carry out the recovery of the HGV that left the carriageway following a crash.

It’s expected the major road will be closed for most of the morning.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: “The closure is required to ensure the safety of officers and specialist recovery crews working at the scene, and recovery operations are expected to take most of the morning.

“If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.”
