Adam Peaty counts down the hours until his wedding to Holly Ramsay as he shares sunrise snap on the morning of his nuptials amid family feud

Adam Peaty appeared to be counting down the hours until he ties the knot with his bride to be Holly Ramsay on Saturday.

The couple are getting married at Bath Abbey on December 27, yet the lead up to the wedding has been filled with drama amid a bitter family feud which has seen Adam’s parents disinvited from the ceremony.

However the turmoil seemed far from Adam’s mind on Saturday morning as he took to Instagram nice and early to share a picture of the countryside sunrise ahead of the ceremony.

Photographing the pool, it seems the Olympic swimmer was planning a quick dip to calm his nerves ahead of the big day.

Earlier this week it was reported that Adam’s mother Caroline had made a major U-turn surrounding the wedding amid the family feud.

She had been planning on gatecrashing the nuptials but has apparently changed her mind because she doesn’t want to spoil Adam’s big day.

A family member told The Sun: ‘She will not be there because it would be too sad and she doesn’t want to spoil his big day.’

Caroline has been barred from the service following an increasingly toxic and inconveniently public row that began in November, when she was not invited to her soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s hen party.

In the wake of the snub, public woes unravelled, with shock claims on each side about the fallout – including allegations that Holly and Adam made Caroline choose a different outfit for the wedding as they did not like her choice.

It’s since been reported that tensions between the two families began during Holly and Adam’s engagement party, which was filmed for Gordon’s upcoming Netflix documentary.

Gordon was filmed over nine months as he opened five new restaurants in London, alongside juggling his personal life.

The engagement party, which took place last December, will see Holly and Adam with his family during happier times, before their toxic fallout occurred and he disinvited all but one of his relatives from the wedding.

But according to The Sun, the cracks were already starting to show at the time, with Caroline having several grievances at the party.

A source told the publication: ‘Adam’s family were at the engagement party, when relations were much better. Things went downhill from there.

‘His mum was unhappy some of the family weren’t there and confronted Gordon at the event.

‘Guests were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in phones as the party was filmed.’

It was also revealed that Peaty’s sister Bethany is the only member of his side who appears to have survived the bitter family fallout ahead of his wedding.

The hen-do snub sparked a huge response from the Peaty family, with Adam’s aunt Louise blasting her nephew and his fiancée, Holly, in a series of Instagram comments.

She later claimed her sister Caroline wasn’t invited to their wedding due to her appearance and not having the correct ‘look’.

But one member of Peaty’s family appears to have survived the feud, his sister Bethany – who did make the cut for Holly’s picture-perfect Cotswolds hen do.

It’s been reported that the real reason Bethany made the cut is that she ‘fits in’ to the Ramsays’ glamorous world because ‘she’s blonde and pretty’.

There are claims that Bethany herself has had her head turned by the celebrity lifestyle, and has been asked to be one of Holly’s bridesmaids.

A friend close to the family told the publication: ‘Bethany has always been very close to Adam and she is really taken with the celebrity lifestyle, she’s had her head turned by all the glitz and glamour.

‘She was over the moon to be at the hen party, hanging out with Victoria Beckham and couldn’t wait to tell all her friends about it. She really fits in with the glam world – she’s blonde and very pretty.’

Earlier this week it was claimed that Adam and Holly have reportedly sparked outrage after banning the public from a historic church for their wedding day.

According to a new report, the ceremony itself will last just 90 minutes, yet the couple have allegedly block-booked the abbey so no other weddings can take place.

Tourists are expected to be denied entry, with security stationed around the site to prevent onlookers from taking photos.

While hiring the abbey for a wedding typically costs around £2,500, the pair are thought to be paying several thousand more to secure exclusive use of the venue.

And a picture of a notice posted at the abbey states it is ‘closed all day for a wedding’ on December 27.

The decision has not gone down well with locals, with one resident telling the publication: ‘It seems rather selfish to be hiring the abbey for the whole day when your wedding service only lasts for an hour and a half or so.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Adam and Holly’s representatives for comment.
