MANCHESTER UNITED have recalled Toby Collyer from his loan spell at West Brom – but Ruben Amorim is tempted to sanction another temporary move.
The midfielder, 21, had already returned to Old Trafford to undergo treatment on a calf injury which was expected to keep him out of action for eight weeks.

And United have now decided that Collyer will not head back to West Brom when he is fully fit.
But the Red Devils are considering their options and have not ruled out allowing him to make another loan switch in January.
Collyer made it clear to United that he was prepared to leave on a temporary basis before the season got underway.
He realised that failing to qualify for a European competition would have an impact on the amount of action he could expect if he stayed at Old Trafford.
And several of West Brom’s Championship rivals have registered an interest in landing Collyer if United are prepared to do business.
But boss Amorim is also toying with the idea of giving the wonderkid a chance to work his way into the first-team picture.
Collyer could stay at Old Trafford and provide midfield competition if Kobbie Mainoo departs.
The England international had a request to make a loan exit turned down during the summer transfer window, but he has still been handed limited game time by Amorim.

United also have a depleted squad after Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui jetted off to the Africa Cup of Nations.
And captain Bruno Fernandes is facing a spell on the sidelines thanks to picking up an injury against Aston Villa last week.
Collyer made 12 appearances for West Brom, notching one assist along the way.
But he has been out of action since being forced off inside the opening 11 minutes of their showdown with Midlands rivals Birmingham last month.
And United have chosen to cut his initial season-long loan short because they want to assess their options.
Collyer has 13 United outings to his name, with the most recent being when Amorim’s side beat Arsenal on penalties in the FA Cup Third Round earlier this year.
The Red Devils are back in action tonight, when they host Newcastle in the Premier League’s only Boxing Day clash.
