THE January transfer window is just days away from opening for Premier League clubs.
The mid-season transfer window provides clubs with an opportunity to strengthen their squads and fix problem areas.
Teams can add much-needed depth to save their campaigns or push on for an even better finish.
Getting the market right can be the difference between a title, European qualification or relegation from the Premier League.
This January is set to be one of the busiest windows for some time with many huge moves already being lined up.
Here is a look at the ten potentially biggest moves that could happen next month.
Elliot Anderson to Manchester United
Manchester United desperately need to strengthen their midfield in order to push up the Premier League.
Ruben Amorim does not fancy Kobbie Mainoo and has often favoured the likes of Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte over the Englishman.
Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson, 23, is one of a number of targets for the Red Devils.
The midfielder has impressed since his move to the City Ground from Newcastle in 2024.

The Tricky Trees have slapped a £100million price tag on his head as the Prem’s biggest clubs circle.
Adam Wharton to Manchester United
Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton is another option for the Red Devils in the January window.
United could continue to revamp their midfield by making another move but this time for the former Blackburn midfielder.
Wharton, 21, has become one of the most promising players in the league since his move up from the Championship in January 2024.
The South London outfit values Wharton at above £60m, which means it could be an expensive month for United if they were to make a double swoop for the England midfielders.
Franculino Dju to Liverpool
Liverpool have struggled to reach the heights they showed in their title-winning campaign last term.
The Reds oversaw a huge summer splurge under Arne Slot but the big-money arrivals have failed to hit the ground running.
Record signing Alexander Isak is now set for a spell on the sidelines and a move for Franulino Dju would provide cover for the Swede.
Reports in Germany have claimed that the Midtjylland forward could make a £26m switch to Anfield in January.
However, Dju does have plenty of interest with Everton and Bayern Munich also in the running.
Antoine Semenyo to Man City
Antoine Semenyo has been one of the hottest properties in the Prem after starring for Bournemouth throughout last season and this term.
The forward is already on eight goals in 16 league appearances for the Cherries this season.
Semenyo has a release clause of £65m at the South Coast club, which becomes active on January 1.
It is thought he has already rejected one Prem side and City are queuing up for his signature.
Chelsea are also in the running alongside the likes of United and Liverpool.
Marc Guehi to Liverpool
Liverpool could also make an expected return for Marc Guehi to strengthen their backline.
The Crystal Palace captain almost made the move to Anfield in the summer but the deal collapsed on deadline day.
Guehi will be free to walk away from Selhurst Park at the end of the season so a cash offer could tempt Palace into a sale.
Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace
Palace face the prospect of losing two stars in Wharton and Guehi but the arrival of Brennan Johnson would soften the blow.
Tottenham are open to selling the former Forest man in the new year, and a move south of the Thames has been backed.
Johnson has also been credited with interest from the likes of Aston Villa and West Ham in recent times.
He has struggled for form under Thomas Frank with just two goals in 15 league outings.
Kobbie Mainoo to Chelsea
Kobbie Mainoo has been heavily tipped to be on his way out of Old Trafford next month.
The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order under Amorim this season with Casemiro preferred by the manager.
Chelsea have been linked as one destination for Mainoo to dwell on a move too.
United legend Paul Scholes has urged the youngster to jump at the opportunity of reuniting with Alejandro Garnacho at Stamford Bridge.
Mainoo has also got interest from Serie A giants Napoli, as well as with a loan move to West Ham.
Ivan Toney to Everton
Everton are desperate for more firepower with only Nottingham Forest and Wolves scoring less than their 18 goals in the league.
Sky Sports have claimed that the Toffees are lining up a swoop for former Brentford star Ivan Toney.
The former England international is playing for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League and has 13 goals in 19 appearances this term.
The report suggested that Toney is open to a move back to England – particularly with one eye on making Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad – but a deal would be expensive.
It would also be very costly to Toney personally due to a massive tax bill.
Jorgen Strand Larsen to West Ham
West Ham have been tipped to raid one of their relegation rivals in January.
Jorgen Strand Larsen impressed last season with 14 league goals for Wolves on loan from Celta Vigo.
His form convinced the West Midlands side to activate his £25million buy option.
The striker was the subject of a £50m offer from Newcastle in the summer but it was rejected.
Larsen has not replicated his form from last season with just one goal all season.
The Athletic have claimed that Hammers are willing to take a punt on the striker in an attempt to save their own season.
Savinho to Tottenham
Tottenham went after Savinho in the summer only to see their £60million offer rejected by Man City.
The Brazilian has only appeared in 13 league games this season as he continues to struggle for regular minutes at the Etihad.
Spurs could look to return for the winger in the January window with the offer of guaranteed game time.
Manager Thomas Frank could be in need for Savinho, especially if Brennan Johnson heads through the exit door.
