STRICTLY Come Dancing host Tess Daly took to the floor for the first – and last – time as she performed a mini-routine.
The TV host waved goodbye to Strictly with the show’s Christmas special and even put her dancing shoes on for the occasion.
Looking fabulous in a crisp white suit, Tess finally took to the floor alongside pro partner Aljaz Škorjanec.
Following All Saints singer Mel Blatt’s performance on the show, judge Anton Du Beke interrupted proceedings to reveal that none of the celebrity pairings would be performing an Argentine Tango on the show.
As a result, he revealed that Tess would instead do the honours before dancer Aljaz joined her on the floor.
They then performed a brief routine that involved many tricks and flips.
Aljaz could be seen spinning Tess around him at one point as the host finally showed off her moves.
Anton later jokingly scored Tess and gave her a 12 for her routine.
At the end of the show, Tess and Claudia once again thanked everyone for watching them “over the years” before insisting to everyone to “keep dancing”.
The Sun previously told how Tess would make her dancing debut on the programme’s Christmas edition – her last ever after quitting alongside co-host Claudia Winkleman.
A TV insider said earlier this month: “Both hosts are the first to admit they’re not natural movers, certainly not compared to the pros they’re surrounded by every week.
“But they know this is a special occasion and its an opportunity for everyone on the show to say goodbye to Tess and Claudia as it is for the viewers at home.”
The show’s Christmas special was the final time that fans got to see Tess and Claudia on screen in the programme.
Their official goodbye came in the form of the series finale earlier this week in which Karen Carney won.
The show’s Christmas special saw one winner become victorious after a solely audience-decided vote.
After all the performances, Scarlett – who first shot to fame on Gogglebox – emerged victorious alongside pro Vito Coppola after their Cha Cha to Cher’s DJ Play A Christmas Song.
On the win, Scarlett told Tess Daly: “This is amazing! I feel like I should have prepared a speech! This is honestly the greatest gift that could have ever happened at Christmas. We’ve all just had the best time!”
Scarlett and Vito were the only dancers of the night to score a perfect 40, though the other contestants weren’t far behind.
