Nicole Kidman cuts a low-key figure in a modest black dress as she attends Christmas Day mass alone in Sydney – as she makes first trip to Australia following her split with Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman cut a solemn figure as she stepped out alone for Christmas morning mass in North Sydney on Thursday.

The Oscar-winning actress, 58, was seen outside a local church dressed modestly in a plain, long black dress, which she paired with black slippers and oversized sunglasses.

Carrying a black handbag and wearing only simple jewellery, Nicole appeared subdued as she arrived for the service, her expression calm yet reflective.

Her naturally curly, perm-like strawberry blonde hair looked effortlessly beautiful, framing her face as she paused outside the church, embodying quiet composure on one of the most significant days of the year.

The low-key outing stood in stark contrast to her radiant appearance just a day earlier, when Nicole attended her first Christmas party in Sydney following her shock split from husband Keith Urban.

Nicole kept her head slightly bowed as she lingered outside the church, appearing deep in thought before making her way inside for the service.

She moved quietly during what appeared to be a solo outing, blending into the subdued Christmas morning atmosphere in the North Sydney neighbourhood.

Despite the understated ensemble, the actress looked composed and dignified, her natural curls adding softness to the otherwise sombre look.

The solitary outing appeared to be a moment of private reflection for the star, who has long made attending Christmas Day mass part of her festive routine.

On Wednesday, the iconic Australian actress turned heads in a flowing lemon-coloured gown as she celebrated with her teenage daughters, Sunday and Faith.

The veteran star looked effortlessly elegant, her strawberry blonde hair styled in a soft, voluminous perm – a subtle nod to her iconic ’80s look, as she attended the celebration.

Nicole’s confident and graceful presence turned heads, proving her enduring star power in Sydney’s social scene.

It follows reports that reality may be starting to sink in for Keith following his divorce from Nicole.

The country star, who parted ways with his Hollywood star wife in September after 19 years of marriage, is allegedly ‘wondering if he’s made a huge mistake’ following their split.

After recently performing private shows for members of Donald Trump‘s inner circle, the 58-year-old is reportedly feeling more isolated than ever.

‘He’s got to pay the bills – and divorce lawyers don’t come cheap,’ a source told Woman’s Day magazine of the couple’s settlement.

Keith has forked out for the couple’s daughter Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret’s private school tuition and, according to the publication, needs to make a living in any way he can.

‘It’s a lonely existence for Keith right now – he’s exhausted, isolated and looking at a future he never imagined,’ the source added.

‘He’s also lost his best friend, Nicole, who was also his greatest supporter in life. He’s wondering if he’s made a huge mistake.’

Keith made headlines in November after he performed at an Australian billionaire’s party at Mar-a-Lago.

The private gig, hosted by Anthony Pratt, was attended by Donald Trump, who received US $10 million from the Visy executive chairman for his election campaign.

Nicole and Keith’s breakup shocked fans earlier this year – and the Oscar-winning actress had reportedly been dreading the public’s response for months prior.

‘She’s been stressed because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading it,’ a source told People in early October.

‘But she’s surprisingly level-headed now that it’s out, she’s just focused on what’s ahead and her girls,’ the insider said of the couple’s daughters Sunday and Faith.

The actress and musician’s separation was confirmed by Daily Mail on September 29, and Nicole filed for divorce on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences.

Their marriage began to fall apart at the beginning of summer 2025. The split was reportedly a long-term development, stemming from months of quiet separation and diverging paths due to work commitments, according to Daily Mail sources.

Nicole has requested to be the primary residential parent in the custody arrangement.
