The world’s top city for luxury living has been revealed – and it might not surprise you.
With 900 fine dining restaurants and 150 five-star hotels per 100km squared, the top spot goes to Paris in France, the city of love and a well-known destination for those seeking a glamorous experience.
New research looked at six wealth and lifestyle indicators for each city.
This included how many millionaires and billionaires live there, relative to population, fine dining restaurant density, five-star hotels, luxury retail stores, and casinos per square kilometre.
These factors were combined into a Luxury Score that ranked cities based on the availability of premium amenities for wealthy residents.
Paris came top of the list as the world’s best city for luxury living.
The French capital stands out with its high-end cuisine, offering nearly 834 fine dining restaurants per 100 km2, more than any other destination.

The city also has 142 five-star hotels per 100 km2 and operates up to 10 casinos.
Melbourne comes second to Paris in posh lifestyle.
The Australian city is home to 94,000 millionaires, who have more than 100 elite restaurants to choose from across the town.
Melbourne also has a high concentration of first-class hotels (125) and luxury stores (143), giving wealthy visitors plenty of shopping options.
Zurich is in third place, attracting millionaires in the highest numbers.
Here, nearly one in every five residents is worth seven figures, reflecting Zurich’s status as a global wealth management hub.
The city treats its affluent visitors with high-end culinary options across 150 restaurants.
Next on the list is Miami. The city has around the same concentration of millionaires as Paris, but welcomes many more billionaires per capita (37).

In second place is Melbourne in Australia, home to 94,000 millionaires
With so many ultra-rich in the city, Miami offers more than 120 fine dining options and around 40 upscale retail stores.
Milan takes fifth place among the world’s top luxury destinations. The Italian fashion capital rivals Paris in fine dining, showing 193 upscale restaurants that serve a smaller but more concentrated community of 82,000 millionaires.
With nearly 20 five-star hotels and 76 luxury stores, Milan is the go-to place for those who love the latest trends and high-end shopping.
New York City follows behind as America’s second most luxurious city. New York has the highest numbers both for millionaires and billionaires, in the study by crypto casino JB.
Los Angeles comes next after New York, while Singapore takes eighth place as Asia’s main financial and lifestyle hub.
Seoul takes ninth place as another luxury destination in Asia. The South Korean capital hosts 66,000 millionaires and another 16 billionaire personalities.
London completes the top 10 cities for a lavish lifestyle. Around 2,200 out of every 100,000 residents are millionaires in the city, highlighting London’s reputation as a centre of global wealth.
